I noticed that the VIP character creation bug was fixed but instead of having 24 slots, it only has 15 now. Why is this happening? Can you change this to extend the number to 24? Thanks.

Iirc, they made all 12 slots free by default because the old character limit doesn't detect the new item-based vip.

But, some people already had 12 chars before, so those pipol complained that they weren't able to enjoy the free slots like others did, that's why we all get additional +3 more. (Pretty valid complaint, I guess)

Dunno with the 24, maybe they experimented on something but it didn't work out

Why? The teaser was 24 slots for VIP and it was delivered only 15. Why should they be happy when they got less than was showed?

 

And i would be happy with 18 honestly, this way i could create one of each character in the same account. I hope they increase at least 3 more in the future

You can make use of the character transfer service if you want to add more characters to that account.

Having 15 slots for free is more than fair enough already if you think about it. With 3 account IDs, you already get a total of 45 slots

You just cant tease customers with something good and then provide with a lesser alternative, its a terrible way to do business. I am waiting for a reply from WP, and hopefully this change is temporary and not final.
 
Oh well, you can transfer your chars between accounts to reach 24-27 chars per account. If they allow 24 chars per account, less people will be using this feature and less money in the making. Guess I am starting to understand this a little.

That was kind of unnecessary but to answer to your concern; here's staff response in regarding extra character slots:

-"Originally VIP users received 6 extra slots(9 total). With Doram it was expanded to 9 (12 total) and now we expanded it to 15 total slots for all users".

With that said, there doesn't seem to be any plans to unlock the extra slots that happened due to past server merger.

Well its not like his comment was necessary anyway, on WP forums I aint nice to those who post stupidly annoying comments to my topics. They can choose to keep silent if they dont have anything useful to say, its not that hard for them.

 

So WP teased customers with 24 slots and then decided to reduce it to 15, this is totally disappointing customer service. I thought WP would try to make the VIP package more attractive, but it seems they've decided the opposite. Less VIP char slots, no 1.5K WPE for 1 month VIP + 1.5k KP package anymore, the value of VIP has actually decreased since the update.

 

Fine I will create chars from my alt accounts and transfer them to main to get 27 chars on main so you can make money, if that makes WP happy?

The intention was always to open up these character slots to all users as the new VIP cannot affect character creation in this manner. Rather than limiting it to the older 12 slot limit we decided to update it to 15 for all users and figured out how to remove the VIP flag so there is no confusion.

Well then, why did it show 24 char slots before? I thought with the new update, the first 9 slots are free and the other 15 are VIP slots, which makes it 24 total.

 

Also, is character transfer between Chaos and Thor possible, assuming the names do not exist in the other server?

He pretty much explained it already...

But lemme try and reword it:
New character slots for new system = +12 (usable)
Old max slots from old vip system = +12 (not-usable)
Totalling at 24

In short, it wasn't a tease, but a visual bug because it displayed 12 slots from the old system as well (needed the old vip 'flag'). Those weren't supposed to show anymore. They probably weren't even meant to be usable, which explains the bugs people experienced when trying to make characters for slot 13-24.

But that's just my understanding of what happened

You can only claim 1 item per account so that's not an option.

with the ammount of issues this game have, asking for more than 15 slots in 1 account is honestly a disservice to all of us

Yeah apparently you do this, but lets not assume the same on other ppls, shall we? After all, not everyone behaves like you do, most players in this game dont actually visit this forum at all.

 

I need to create more chars since I need to use them in TI parties that I organize with my guildmates, our TI parties usually run twice a week. It gets boring if you just use leech chars(and to suicide them is annoying), more fun when you also have chars to level on your own. Most of my chars made since Janeway have leveled past mid TI, some even out of high TI range, need new chars. The chars which are out of high TI range will be good enough to farm ET/CL coming card drop events, thats another reason why more chars is desirable.

 

Not sure if this is simple enough for your brain to comprehend, but I guess I will leave it here.

People really take VIP seriously, which makes me feel dumb for having VIP just for WoE warps ... for 6 years but rarely used other benefits ie. leveling, farming, using extra slots lol

And it seems that the number is 18 on ROT? Why Renewal has to cope with 15 then, cant you make 18 for both?
