I'm planning on making that build on Ro:T (getting a bow with sidewinder card).

In theory seems awesome but I never heard anyone talking about this, so I'm afraid there's something I'm missing (like DA not critting on weapons other than dagger or etc).

 

 

Is it possible to do it or the mechanics won't work?

On RT it may not work so well due to limited ability to stack crit.

 

On Chaos, it's very doable, and while it's weaker than Ranger or GX or what have you, it's pretty cool cuz you can leverage frenzy from bloody lust + maximum power thrust from the Thieve's Guide (it doubles your crit damage). 

 

So you can stack crit + ranged damage, double it via maximum power thrust, then double it again with frenzy, and have double attack to boot.
