+1 , It's a blank screen momentarily after clicking "login", then "Failed to Connect to Server" pops up after 3 seconds. This only started to happen after today's maintenance.

Tried #4 but no dice.

Solution #4 will not work in this instance, as servers are undergoing weekly maintenance.

Does it close midway or when you hit Play button? If it closes midway have yet to see this happen so would be tricky to troubleshoot.
That's said, new patch pack file should be uploaded shortly that if you wish to give patching another try.

I'd suggest the following:

  • Ensure all of Ragnarok exe files (Ragnarok.exe, ragexe.exe and Setup.exe) are set to run as an admin.
    To change the setting:
Right-click the file > Choose Properties > Choose Compatibility tab > Choose run this program as an administrator.
  • If your game client is installed under Program Files (x86) or Program Files then move the folder anywhere else outside said folders. You don't need to reinstall for this specific step.
  • Ensure your Antivirus has all of RO exe files, folders and EAC folder in specific as whitelisted from the active scans.
  • Ensure you have sufficient amount of space on the drive.
  • If EAC error comes up while patching, please check pinned topic here for generic troubleshoot suggestions.

What is your Windows and Antivirus? and do you have enough space on that drive?

If you have another device at home try to install the game on that one then copy the whole RO folder to your current.

Looking at the past reports on forums of the same, they suggest that RO exe files should run as an admin. If you have any RO running it should be closed during installation and patching. Also, make sure that you have removed the old Renewal client.

What is your Windows version?

Did you unpack the required patch files into RO folder as suggested in solution #4 here?

Where do you connect from? It may be a connection issue such as VPN may come in handy to patch in the files.
