If a weapon is already +10 and I use HD bradium and for example it fails, will it remain on +10? Or will it downgrade? 

 

Also since there is no Eden, no mighty hammer, where to do this upgrade from +10 and above?

It will go back down to +9 and you do it at the regular upgrade npc

You can verify it yourself. Take your +10 gear, go to the normal NPC and check the success rate. It'll show 100% success rate when HD or Normal Bradium is selected.

 

But again careful not to accidentally use the normal ore when you're +11 and above. I believe with the recent changes one could no longer use the mighty hammer to do refine pass +10.

It isn't suppose to downgrade to +9 when you're using HD Bradium, but in this new UI it will drop to +9 IF it fail. But as a temporary fix they changed the success rate of +10 to +11 being 100%, the refine won't fail so it won't downgrade.

 

You can even use normal Bradium for +10 to +11, and the UI will show that it's 100% success rate. But don't accidentally use normal bradium when going from +11 to +12 as that would risk your equipment being downgraded below +10 or worse breaks.

 

In short you can safely use HD Bradium and not worry it drop below +10 since going to +11 is 100% (for now). You can save some HD ore by using normal Bradium, but just be careful and go slowly when refining. Change to HD ore when it's +11

 

this is not true on RT. i tested this awhile back. it fails from 10 > 11 and it drops to +9. they do not have the guarantee +10 > 11 on RT. only on the other server.
