Note: some ideas involve in-game drops as well, so please read through.

 

Hello everyone,

 

I had some questions and also some "potentially" good ideas for the cash shop system depending on how my first questions are answered.

 

Q1. Are OCP items and drop-rates determined solely by Gravity, or does Warpportal have control on what items and drop-chance from the box?

 

Q2. Does Warpportal have authority to create their own Remix version of the OCP (if the above question is true)?  Or does it fall under the same deal - Gravity controls it and also controls when they are introduced?

 

 

 

If Warpportal has their own deciding factors on making items available through the cash shop and "how" they are made available, could you take a look at these potentially good ideas:

 

Note: I'm not suggesting that ALL of these combined are a good idea as a whole (although there could be some potential for a combination of some)

 

1. Higher-Tier OCP boxes for people that are looking specifically for end-game or slightly better gear and don't want to spend $100's of dollars trying the OCP box (when it's available) that has 1-2 good items and like 20 items they don't need or want.  This could cost more than the regular OCP (which would still be unchanged).

 

This is with the understanding there must be some sort of balance between "game of chance" and "cost".

 

These would be in the format of High-Tier Remix OCP, which could be named *~Grand Remix OCP~* (Ooooh yeah baby)

 

Suggested Value: 600KP up to 900KP

Suggested Item Values/Drop Rates2-3 Rare(s-class) 20%3-4 Semi-Rare 35%1-2 Uncommon 45%0 Common items -- With each box automatically including good amount of 100% guaranteed refining items or leveling items (2-5 BMX3, 2-5 Blacksmith Blessing, HD/Enriched Ores etc - which can be randomly chosen).

 

OR

 

Suggested Value: 900KP up to 1800KP

Suggested Item Values/Drop Rates1-2 S-Class 50%1-2 Semi-Rare 50%0 Uncommon items0 Common items -- With each box automatically including a generous amount of 100% guaranteed refining items or leveling items (10-20 BMX3, 10-20 Blacksmith Blessing, etc -- chosen at random)

 

OR

 

Remove game of chance and just sell OCP items in the shop on a temporary event basis (once every other month for the whole month or something)-- not as much fun, but sometimes you just need that item and zeny may be hard to come by when you have less people playing on the server to buy stuff from you.

 

Cash shop could look like this (KP amount is just an idea):

Month 1: (1) Rare item 900KP~2000KP, (1) Uncommon item 200KP~500KP

Month 2: (1) Semi-Rare 700KP~1500KP, (1) Common item 400KP~700KP

Month 3: rinse and repeat

 

2. OCP/Remix boxes now have a chance for: (1) ~*Lucky Coin*~ which can be traded to purchase 1 specific item from the current available OCPs via Kafra employee.

 

~*Lucky Coin*~ drop rate is same as S-class item and counts as an item by itself when you open the box (you won't get an item + the coin...you'll just get the coin by itself).

 

~*Lucky Coin*~ can be used to purchase "ANY" of the available items from the current OCP box(es) via the Kafra employee, no matter the quality.

 

~*Lucky Coin*~ has no expiration and can work for any OCP/Remix box (including future boxes), however it can only purchase items that are currently available in the Cash Shop OCP boxes.

 

(may get a no, but lets try anyway) ~*Lucky Coin*~ implemented as a super-rare 0.001% (yes 10 times harder than a card) random in-game drop.  Maybe from specific mobs each maintenance that may already be selected for spotlight or just anything in the game (except maybe TI).  May also be unaffected by increased drop-rate buffs (if you can do that for specific items).

 

3. OCP/Remix boxes now have a chance to drop OCP Key !!!

 

OCP Key will drop along "with" your regularly gifted OCP item at a small 2~3% chance.  It does not affect any other items that would have normally dropped from your OCP box.

 

OCP Key can be taken to a Kafra employee that will attempt to open an Old Mystery Box that was lost by a Warpportal employee that remains unnamed (we won't tell) and present you with a surprise.  Of course, this surprise is another chance for OCP items!  Better yet, this mystery box has every single OCP item that has ever been available, as well as every single cash shop item currently available!  It's like an Old Blue Box or Old Purple Box, but this one is an Old Mystery Box (way better in my opinioin)!

 

HOWEVER, with different (likely lower) rates than a normal OCP box (for the rare/semi-rare OCP items), and with a chance that the key breaks! (don't be the guy with the broken key -- people will talk)

 

OCP Key may only be obtained via OCP/Remix boxes in the cash shop...hence the name OCP Key.

 

OCP Key are tradeable!

 

OR

 

OCP Key may only be obtained from OCP/Remix boxes, but do not have a chance to break.

Old OCP Key may be obtained via in-game drop chance of 0.01% chance and can be affected by increased drop-rate buffs.  This key is old and has a 50% chance of breaking on Old Mystery Box.  Why is everything old in this game!?

 

Both keys will have a chance to be used to open the Old Mystery Box with the same Kafra employee, so there is no doubt that you are getting the same gentle touch and the same selection of goodies no matter which key you use (don't blame Kafra employees for your dirty old keys breaking or terrible drops).  However, you can blame Kafra employees if they try to sneakily swap out the Old Mystery Box with an Old Purple Box.  You can obtain one of the most expensive jellopy in the history of Ragnarok!

 

Kafra employees will only try the swapping trick with people carrying an Old OCP Key.  Someone somewhere estimated Kafra swapping the box about 25% chance when using Old OCP Key.  Luckily the Old OCP Key never fails to open an Old Purple Box!  At least you'll be sure that the item had chances of being amazing if the key breaks...

Note: Regarding Transcendence, this idea would only affect items that have been available to the Transcendence server.

 

 

 

 

Please be mindful, the numbers on all of these were on the fly, so they can be adjusted for fairness, etc.

 

If you enjoy these, I'll try to think of some more.

 

(lets get one or more of these implemented by next maintenance if possible -- lol)

i saw on live stream, TwRO card exchanger at comodo

it looks fun. likewise the idea above.

 

but those are the servers that are closest to bot free.
