So I have a laptop (low end) and a PC (high specs). On my laptop the average usage of ragexe is 7% of the cpu. On my high perfomance PC it's using more than 30% all the time. I can't let the game with a vending open because it will eventually close by itself with no warning, when I open Photoshop for example.

I've heard that Windows Defender was a problem and could be scanning all the time the file, so I disabled it, nothing. Also heard that could be a corrupted file, reinstalled the game and nothing.

I don't really know what else to do. Help.

Hello,

Been running 2 clients almost all the time and other than the random client crash which rarely happens the general CPU usage doesn't exceed 10% per client.

What's your system spec? Did you configure your graphic card to optimize installed games or are you running on default settings? There's also the issue of power consumption, may want to take a look at that. Should be under System>Power & Sleep if using Windows 10.

That being said, nothing new about RO eating up CPU, supposedly an intended behavior from what I gathered after going through old forums reports.

Other than that, RO closing when opening Photoshop has been mentioned before, probably due to EAC. Could be a compatibility issue.

It wouldn't be the power consumption because the laptop is the one running under 10%. And my tabletop Pc doesnt have any kind of Power configs under windows settings.

It probably is something to do with EAC, cause it's not only opening Photoshop, when I open Zoom or whatever Program I need, it closes one of my two clients.

I don't know why but today it's been running arround 15~20% which still is way above the 8% on my sh.itty laptop lol

I got an i5 7th gen, geforce 1050ti and 16 ram. It really makes no sense cause my laptop has an i5 3th gen and doesnt have a graphic card hahahaha

Photoshop eats up the space with literally anything else running with it and even if it's there by itself. It's a PS problem especially when you have hours of work done on PS. Do not have PS open while playing anything. Just have the game open and whatever other tabs on your browser. You might want to make sure you have the least amount of stuff open (this doesn't apply to only low-end). If you do want to vend and everything, I would suggest keeping only one cilent open (or two if you want to push limits) and work on a light file on PS. Certain tools on PS will affect PC performance at times (and will make the file eat more over time.. meaning it'll act like it's a big file). If you want speed when you're editing large files, I would suggest you find an alternative to PS.

I used to be able to open 8 clients before the long maintenance. Now I'm struggling with 1.

The RO cpu usage spikes from 35% all the way up to 80%, depending on what I do in game.

With 2 clients, usually at all times the % sits below 10%.

AMD Ryzen 7 with 32.0GB RAM. I'd guess the issue is system specific. On laptop for example I can barely open a second client due to graphic lag, extremely old laptop anyway.

The problem is RO can't use GPU. It uses CPU graphics, hence this stupid load. And because of easy anticheat we can't use available solution for this.

I'd kindly suggest to do something about EAC, like exclusion or something. My old laptop heats as Mighty Hammer's furnace during mad bunny event on Chaos... I don't remember such issues before EAC though.

I'm running on a Pentium G4400 and 8gb ram setup. Just did some testings with the old client, able to get to the page where you key in your password, and my CPU usage is around 10-13%.

However on this new client, at the same page, it ranges from 35-80%. Something is clearly off..

I have the very same issue. CPU usage ranges from 30% to 50% and around 400MB of RAM per client.

Specs: AMD Athlon II X3 440 (3.01 GHz), 6GB DDR3, GeForce 730 GT (2GB).

Is there anything I can do to reduce this weird usage? Thanks.

Ryzen 5 1600x, overclocked at 3,95 GHz
16gb RAM ddr4 2400mhz

1f914690185af24f89b44de82f115208.png

more or less the average load, at times it peaks at 8~9% at most, but when tabbed it goes down to sub 1%

It would seem like only the people suffering are using some form of inferior CPU. This page has to be updated, the minimum requirement to run EAC seems pretty darn high :

https://support.warp...quirements.aspx

I've reformatted my PC, downgraded to 32bit Win10 Pro (was using Win10 Pro 64bit), and yes, the CPU usage is still as high as ever.

I can't believe that I need to re-upgrade my PC to play a 20 year old game.......

Tested once again flashing my OS to Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit. Doesn't work, even worse CPU usage at a constant 80%.
