OCP Items and Rebalanced Skills

So with the skill re-"balance" update coming soon, maybe we could consider a case by case basis of 1st/2nd class skills that have been boosted by OCP items.

 

An example of an powerful 2nd class skill is Meteor Assault, where you can reach absurd levels of damage due to Enforcer Shoes. At best you get 650% which is 6.5 times damage, if it were to be reduced to providing only 10% of it's effect, it would still give a boost whilst balancing it out.

 

Of course there are skills that aren't as bad, such as Magnus Exorcismus where even though you can gain almost 6x damage, the base formula isn't so terribly high so it gives it a well versed buff whilst compromising of several key slots that make it unable to go too full ham.

 

There are only a few skills this would apply too. Granted, some 3rd class skills got buffed as well, but not much can be done there. Just a habbit of using the data obtained from the "Compiling Test Data Sakray" thread and cross checking with OCP items that buff skills.

It’s already there and ppls already paid for it. Nerfing or altering any effects after selling it is considered as scam. The only way to save humanity is to disable ALL ocps inside woe castle.

You may not remember, but a lot of items were nerfed or came in incorrect yet they were changed. Some for better, some for worse, I don't see why they couldn't do it now.

It's clear that this is the direction the game is taking. Like an action rpg, huge numbers and faster phase of the game.

The problem is WP brings bits and pieces slowly. At the other side of the world, every other class received rework/rebalance/you name it. Bring it as a whole, so people will not point at one single class.

If tomorrow WP decides to bring in the sura rework, everyone is going to say "aww man so imba now they can do 7 GoHs and even TC doesn't drain HP SP from them, but my class didn't get anything, so Nerf it".

Don't BS with this 1 update / century.

Starting  #ShutdownOCP project, request classes shadow gear & made it obtainable only from boxtering 4 ocp gears.  :heh:

People not gonna mad when balance is out. Also OCP isn't bad things.

 

Comparing to CrossImpact with EDP and MA with Enforcer Shoes.

you forget that you need multiple gears, cards & EDP buff (all PVM items) to do that damage.
not to mention sacrificing shield.

 

while that MA damage increase is caused by one cash shop shoe.

CI is a single target and you need to chain it properly. MA is different. Its AoE and easy to use.

Most definitely. The Auto Tuna Belly must be removed from Divine Guard Hat. Keep all other things. GR damage very low with no Inspiration anyway.. and it will be mATK based... a very high opportunity cost build.

but what if GX rebalance on CI come? making it easier to spam without chaining, higher damage, and can crit

It like we need more OCP instead of nerf something.

 

because we only have like Temp boots, Diablous boots.

 

Mostly Build doesn't have any shoes that amplify the build.

 

like 

Sniping Shoes <- Make Ranger more variable in mostly situation, Ranger rarely need Drake card anyway.

Booster shoes [1] <-  Choice between MA or Range or Cri , very good boots that worse when compare combo of TempRing. (Just remove 5% demi-human resist if WP thinks it OP for PVP)

Brave shoes [1] <- Make Bowling Bash , Axe tornado ,Auto attack Priest , Holy Cross build more variable.  (Also like Booster shoes, 3% just remove it)

Cross Impact is about to deal twice as much damage, so yeah it's gonna get stronger. It does require a little investment but not tonnes. Everything depends on how the game progresses, the future content of RO isn't great (rehashed with bigger numbers :U), but yeah it wouldn't hurt to revisit community headgears once changes come in. There is nothing wrong with tweaking items to be better based on the content we have; other games do it, why not us as well?

Just a can of worms. I wouldn't envy anyone who has to deal with the endless torrents of complaints that will come from people' views of what is OP/UP and the endless bickering.

 

CI got doubled, and once it can crit that's basically a 2x-3x damage increase as well, and never mind any additional gear that will buff it (and inadvertently buff it by reducing CD on dark claw, etc.).

We can and I agree with you on this. In fact we should only focus on iRO contents. Dont drown in the past and dont think too much on the future, do your best on today.
