[RT]Can we make everything more expensive?

I was thinking about it, iRO has 17 years and lets face it everybody know nowadays how to make money easily on it.

 

The fact that everybody knows how to make money and the price of everything still the same for 17 years makes a lot of zenny with people and with that the inflation keeps up.

 

My suggestion is, can we make every item(consumables pots), kafra transport, kafra storage more expensive?

 

Every character gets 30 kafra vouchers at the beginning so the newbies wont have a problem with that.

 

I remembered when i first started i didnt want to use kafra bacause i was too rich with my 10k zenny and didnt want to waste it, so i walked accross the map to reach a different ciry. Those kind of things doesnt exist today

 

Practical examples:

Every Refine 50k

Every Kafra transportation add an 0 on the end, i.e instead to pay 1800 from prt to geffen would be 18k

Kafra storage from (really cheap idk how much but i think its less than 100z) to 10k

ASPD Potion add an 0 at the end i.e concentration pot from 800 to 8000

Fly wing from 60 to 1k

 

Arrows and Gems i dont think it should change because those are essential for a few classes and build to work i.e ME Priest

 

Those are ideas to try to sink the zennys on the server. thanks guys give me your opinions

-alternatively lowering the zeny obtained from selling items to npc

-lowering npc shops prices, also npc warps

-replace arrows with arrow quivers in npc shops

-increasing zeny cost of refine

-adding very expensive safe refine npc

-anything that is considered convenience service should require zeny (like the real world constantly sucking money off you as you try making money yourself)

I don't think increasing prices on commom services like normal Kakra TPs/Storage or FlyWing/ASPD Potions is the answer.

 

The server should provide other useful stuff or services, but with a bigger price.

 

NPCs for things like:

 

-> Dungeon Teleporter = TP to any dungeon, but with a high price (scalling with how hard is the place, or if its behind questline). For example: Ant Hell TP = 50~100k Zenny.

-> Mass Brewing = Insta brew large amout of pots with a margin of failure + fixed high price.

-> Buff NPC = Grants like +3/5 Food Buff for 30 minutes or other useful buffs like Large HP Potion, with a price like 200k, with a few hours cooldown. Maybe you could even make it VIP only, or cheaper for VIP users.

Since there is already a large amount of capital already in circulation it's already too late to reduce current NPC vend prices and increase cost of general services. We need a zeny sink that encourages people to use it and RT provides a unique opportunity with it having option rolls. I propose bringing in the the 3 carat diamond gambling NPC. Increase the price of the diamonds and let the equipment from it come with option rolls. Would reduce capital in circulation and help to saturate the market to bring down prices on highly sought option rolls on equipment.

This old hidden enchant on armors got me thinking. What if we can reroll options on the Frenzy weapons? Two possible examples

  • Example 1 Reroll one option into something else: Jur with 3 luk, 2 aspd, 12% Water. You keep the luk and aspd. But want to reroll specifically just the Water part into Neutral. You pay zeny per attempt and of course there's a chance that you get Fire, or Earth or Ghost. It's all random until you get what you want.
  •  
  • Example 2 Reroll the same option: Pike with 4 str, 36 atk, 25% Shadow. You keep the str and Shadow, but want to reroll the atk. It's still atk, but you want 55+ atk. You pay zeny per attempt and of course there's a chance you get 22 atk, or 47 atk. Again random until you get what you want.

I don't know what a good price would be. 500k per attempt? 1m per attempt?

500k per option?
Watt to reroll 1 stats = 500k
2= 1m

This seems like good idea for a zeny sink. Would definitely get people going to get perfect enchants. I'd recommend making a new thread as this is already getting buried.

Something id like to add, make pricing bases on weapon level.
Lvl 1-1m
Lvl 2-1.5-2m
Lvl 3-3-4m
Lvl 4-5-7m
Armours-4-7m
Castle only obtained loot 7-10m to keep its rarity and not force woe to lose its rewarding capabilities.

That way it doesn't hinder those who try hard to find good option rare weapons all the while still tempting the rich to get perfect enchants on their great gears.

Or can go for all options being rerolled at once randomly as well if you think implementing above will lead to situation where everyone has the same perfect setup. except in which case price must be lowered a bit to ensure people use it.

This idea is great tbh. 10 tries of rerolling a lvl 4 weapons option could immediately sink 50m from the game. And it's not all too impossible to reach. The rich will continue to try to perfect that one gear on their costly rare lvl 4 weapons. The perfect zeny sink.

As for raising basic services prices like storage and kafra is definitely a bad idea. It's very new user unfriendly. Stuff like refines etc are understandable. Some things that can be considered to charge good prices
1) woe teleports. Keep a woe teleport NPC in each inn and also near the kafra of woe realms
2) to increase it even further maybe even put a castle teleport NPC within each realm.

Lot of woers in RT. They'll definitely want to make use of it. Charging like 1-5k is a good start. Too little will make it useless as a sink but too high will make people just ignore it and stick to warps.unlike kafra teleports woe is endgame content so doesn't affect new players as much. Besides there's also the option to alt a warper who dont like it.
