Hi everyone, I used to play RO back in 2008 during the very early days of RO. Feeling nostalgic, I'd like to play the game again. Coming back from such ancient time, I find myself pretty overwhelmed by all the changes.

 

1. Should I play RO renewal or transcendence?

I recently downloaded and installed renewal before finding out that there is a newer version of RO called transcendence. Should I stick to renewal, or does transcendence offers better experience for new players?

 

2. How's leveling these days?

Being such a matured video game, I suppose most players would've achieved high levels. Is group leveling for low level players still popular? I used to hunt together with other players back in the day in payon dungeon, morroc pyramid, etc. Im quite shocked to see that it's almost void of low level players in those hunting grounds. Or is there any leveling tips in general?

 

3. In-game community

Is there somewhere in game where players just come and hang around talking about stuff in general? Cause after walking around in prontera for a bit, I found out that most people there are just vending shops and afk players. I kinda miss the in game community like gool ol times haha

 

4. Anything at all

any tips and trick from the community here would be very appreciated ^_^

RO is very forgiving now. Everything is 90% cheaper than pre-COVID. I'm not saying that COVID had anything to do with it or perhaps it did, but who cares? Just come and play. A couple days of farming can get your that nice piece of gears you're after whereas before it would take you a year.

1. Should I play RO renewal or transcendence?

Depends on your preferred gameplay is pretty much the major question, I guess? Renewal if you'd like to try the latest updates from kRO, or Transcendence if you'd like to try the Classic experience. But Transcendence will keep getting updates until it eventually reaches Renewal.
Anyways either servers should have plenty of players, I think

 

2. How's leveling these days?

There's a thing now called Bounty Boards, which should guide your way through leveling. Very convenient feature!

 

 

3. In-game community

Maybe try South Prontera Field? There should be random folks in there hanging out

 

 

4. Anything at all

My advice is to join a guild. Otherwise playing might get a little bit difficult, unless you'd like to play solo hard mode xD
