Recently there are a lot of threads concerning the WoE balance and possible improvements, and of course, different kinds of voices. I hope Production Team and make a new thread of WoE Round Table for discussion, since the current pinned one is out of date and no longer active.
Definitely, there should be some changes made to WoE.
1. Class Balance
There are some gears or items that lead to some class "too OP", and need to be rebalanced. To be honest, to judge whether one item is broken depends on whether it lacks method to restrain, since WoE is a team game. If one item makes a class to be approximate to invincible, then of course its effect should be changed.
However, to totally ban the usage of OCP is not likely to be realized since some OCPs bring new style of playing and contribute fun to WoE. Some possible way is to downward adjust or disable some gears to make it more appropriate. Some possible broken item may be:
Golden Thief Bug Card: In my point of view this is the most broken item in WoE since it almost breaks the class balance. As we can see that a lot of magical control skills are set to bring more variations in WoE but GTB makes them all worthless. For example, RG is naturally to be restrained by WL and Sorc, according to the nature property of skills, but a RG with GTB is almost invincible, especially under inspiration. A person under sacrifice with GTB is almost not solvable, since Dispell is naturally set to be against sacrifice, but GTB makes it useless. Disabling GTB will make WoE more fun and balance.
Tao Gunka Card: This card also breaks the balance of WoE since it generates some overwhelming Sura, and makes the target too hard to tank. Also disable TAO in WoE will make it more fair for all the participants.
Enforcer Shoes: Previous threads have spoken that a lot. The current damage of MA is not likely to be suitable in WoE. Nerf it in WoE is a good adjustment.
Shield Ring: This item also makes RG get broken and invincible. Since there are less and less methods to restrain a RG. Also, nerf its effect in WoE will be good.
There may be some other possible items. Instead of asking for one certain nerf (and, potentially, boost the performance of just your own class), it would be better to nerf those broken items altogether and make the WoE ecology better.
2. WoE Reward
There should be events of WoE reward for occupying certain castles. And the "reward castles" can be changed every week. The number of reward castles could be more than three, to avoid the WoE is focusing on only one castle.
3. Damage Reduction
The current damage of WoE is 50%, but now with increasing power, the damage can be set to even lower, like 40% or even 30%. WoE with all one-shot is not likely to be fun for everyone.
4. WoE Time
Although we just made WoE time poll, but the current time schedule is also not good for most players. WoE 1 might be moved to weekends like Friday night server time, and WoE 2 could be moved to like Saturday night to care for those participants in Asia, since WoE on early Monday is a hard thing. But Wednesday/Sunday afternoon is not good to a lot of participants since it is likely to be coincide with their work time.
There are just some personal point of view. I hope the Production Team can open a new thread for players' opinions and make final decisions and adjustments to make WoE better.
