If we're counting Homunculus 2's, then obviously it would be me.

When she dies you see her soul float up.
That's so awsome and great designing =3

For some reason though, I like the thanatos monsters, moonlight flower and Gloom under night. A lot of the shapeshifting monsters really have nice animation too.

Phreeoni: Seriously! What were they smoking? He creeps me out so hard... and then he licks you!
Honorable Mention: Keil-D (Love the story) & Samurai Spectre (Don't know the story, but he wooped my bum at ET )

I just did MVPs because I'm lazy. But my overall favorite monsters are Baby Hatii & Dolor of Thanatos

He's creepy and reminds me a giant sperm at times
Isn't that supposed to be a bad thing?
Also, Odium of Thanatos is the best monster ever.

There was a "but" after that When I first saw him as a tiny first class character I was like "OH NOES THE SPERM MONSTER KILLED ME!", but looking at the character design he's pretty cool...
I'm done talking about him though cause this is a cute post and I don't want it to get locked because the design team caters to perverts

I always had a soft spot to the sheer wackiness (and sad backstory) of Magnolia:
I get sad when it dies and his cute little chicken soul floats away *googles backstory*

Some of these you find out in the towns, Payon has NPCs with a little bit of dialog (if I am remembering correctly)about the sad tale of Bongun and Munak and how they became angry spirits.backstory? monsters in RO have backstories? I am interested...I've often wondered what is the story behind a lot of monsters in RO, even just the MVPs.

I'm the sort of guy who loves to read up on in-game lore. There's a fair bit of that in Ragnarok, but it's mostly centered about the main story. I wish there was some sort of deeper backstory to the monsters in the game, at least the MVPs. Some of them like Ktullanux have pretty cool backstories, but others are just 'there'.
It's a little counter-productive that such focus is put on grinding these monsters without even understanding why we're fighting them in the first place.

"Because they're trying to kill me" was always satisfactory reason for me.
