I sent a ticket once and the staff told me is perfectly licit. i don't know what to think really, what happens is the following:

 

A merchant full of zeny open a store with prices a lot lower than common market prices. The thing is that as he is full of zeny you can't buy the items from him, but you can of course observe that FAKE price in the shopping signs. So another merchant wants to sell the same item, looks at the sign post, and set his price just lower than the lowest price he observes (that is the fake one).

 

The lowballer then buys the item himself super cheap to resell.

 

in my view is not only a scam, is a scam that makes zeny flows from poor to rich.

 

 

CERTIFICATES IS JUST AN EXAMPLE:

That store selling at 2,222,222 is fake price. if you try to buy you "fail to pay the zeny".

Looks scam to me, GMs should make it like offline vend where the money goes to your rodex inbox. The script should be there already.

yeah not a bad idea. may be somthing like 3 items max for non vips and 10 for vip or something.

another good solution, though the fake seller can just reopen the store, still will at least demand more work for him.

 

EDIT: may be a merchant with more than 1b zeny should just be prevented from open a selling store. this of course will bring some other disadvantages but will solve the problem.

Make it so if you reach the zeny limit, the vend zeny goes directly to your rodex. 

 

No more pricing rare gears at 1z and saying leave offer anymore!

 

PS: Expect chaos on the first day if this is implemented cause those ppl don't check form and their rare MVPs, OCPs got sold for 1z.

i agreed it's a kind of scam and why do people invest on Certificate ? i promise you in 6 month the price of certificate will be lower than 1m and let it be, karma will do the Job

The problem is that its is hard to proof or be sure they are actually scamming. What if at some point they where actualy selling but reach to the zeny limit on the way?

 

a mechanism in game that prevent this from happening will be much better.

 

Certificates is just an example that's currently happening. A few months ago i saw the same with valkyrie drops during a firesale, some merchant full of zeny pricing at 65m or so when the minimum price of people actually selling was 80.

true.

i think is better to make vending skill to fail if the char has more than 1b zeny on him. poeple could still vend with more zeny using offline.

in kRO there are ways to get "Merchant Voucher (Offline-Vending)" in-game as a way to help new players to farm zeny (Are tradeable).

Mmmh people been doing this for ages without any addressing from GMs...people would constantly zeny cap vend to take the 'cheapest' slot in Ragial then stalk n snipe for lazy vendors that just undercut the lowest price they see on Ragial without researching further. It was...decently viable on Ragial, but I don't see how people can make this profitable with market board searches though. Seems like a lot of work for little reward.

Why don't just remove the 2.1B zeny cap or make zeny depositable at kafra npc with 2b cap on hand still there?

We cannot have zeny as item because of item duplication issues.

i don't think banning is an option either, but i do think an IG way for preventing people from abusing the max zeny limit mechanic wouldn't hurt. Totally different thing from the "quitting prices" thing you mention...

Why blame player, when the game create a hole for player to do this?

When ragial still available, u can at least to watch 10/30 days moving average to check if this price is abnormal.
