I want to start playing again.. I have a whole bunch of questions and need someone to hold my hands and show me the ropes all over. I forgot how to play this game.

Before that though, is it easier to level now than it was a couple of years ago? where to find parties? Do I need billions in gear to be effective? 

 

My character level range from lv100 to lv150. I always got stuck at lv120-150 range because XP got super slow or gramps was the only way for me to lv.  I'm on the chaos server.

1. Yes, you only need to be patient, To buy Battle manual x3 and Bounty board (And gears for leveling)

2. Parties? Well, that's the current problem, there are not parties (Everyone can solo leveling because P2P gears), and all those P2P gears are not obtainable (Only in game paying to other players over 100m). So, probably you could lvl until 120 and then you'll get bored (Or maybe you're gonna pay with real money the adquisition of gears, Kachua could be the best choice and then leveling until 175 will be easy). There are noobs abuser that can leech you for 30m.

3. Yes, you need billions for end-game gears. but there are good gears for starting, like Illusion 17.1 (actually are good for leveling and cheap, but you need at least Lvl 130).

 

This server still vintange, so, still difficult in many ways at least you pay to win.

You can level fast even without using battle manuals.

 

Yes, there is an issue where is hard to find a party, but if you join a guild, it may be easier to get help with leveling parties.

 

You do not need billions to effective leveling, Eden gear is free and is great until before 3rd class, then you have the Mora Set for some classes, just join a guild and ask for help to finish the Wandering Guardian Quest, and then do the Find the Research Tools Quest to be able to buy the complete mora set, for the classes that do not have Mora set, you can find cheap gear that is still effective, just do not expect a great amount of damage, at 130 you can do the quest from the recent chapter 17.1 Illusion, that gear is really good and will help you to gear your character or make zeny, and you can use that gear to level to 175. 

 

Do not  botter with end game content/gear just yet, re learn the game first, how to use your character/make zeny and then you can start with end game content.

 

Check Captain Sunbear Streams in twitch, he level characters with in game gear, no OCP/Kachua and give tips on how to make zeny on early levels.

Thank you all i'll look into this Illusion stuff. 2nd question, How do I get VIP if I decide to stay? I was looking for the option but all I saw was character transfer option and buying warp portal points and that was it.

 

and where is the best place to find a guild? i'm getting ignore in the eden group lol.

You now can buy VIP directly from Cash shop. Search Premium. Its 250 KP for 10 days VIP. You will also get scrolls for offline vending and buying.

For joining guild ... hmm

You can try in the recruiting section in the forums, you need the let the ppl know in what server are you and which is your main language.

are there any up to date lvling guide for lv125+ out there? possibly with normal gear  .

ok thanks.. let me look into Illusion payon. I only tried Geffen for like 3hrs and got like 15%. Not bad compare to back in the day but to get from lv150 to 151 it will take me like 10hrs of lvling or so . I feel like i'm moving at turtle pace.

Hey welcome back! Milecia sent me a link to this post. We just started over on Chaos as well and have a small guild if you'd like to join. I got some KP just now and I want to get some Kachua Keys. Are they only in specific boxes or can they be found in whatever you get from there?

 

If it's the former, which boxes are currently giving keys?
