New player here just turned 47/50 doing hunter job change quest.  

So I have to get 3x claw of desert wolf, 5x trunk, and 3 white herbs. 

When I looked on what drops the claw of desert wolf I found out its from a lvl 103 monster is that really what I have to kill?

I think you got it mixed. it's wolf claws that can be obtained from wolves - iW Database - Monster Info - Wolf (irowiki.org)

I followed this guide because there is no hunter guild npc in hugel.  Except for the npc on 2nd floor, I think he handles falcons.
