thank you, actually I have a few class can do ET,

I have pretty good OCP gear can, should be able to ET well....

 

but, you know....slow finger, old man reaction...

 

My 170 well geared ranger can finish 100lvl but take times..... slow prepare arrows, slow spped potion, safe guard... very not smooth

175 well geared (but no JDR) GX cannot  handle reflection mobs well, takes more time and consumables while cannot finish..

170 well geared DB RK(but no Lindi),  going pretty fast and well, but cannot kill the damn Valkyrie.. stopped and this Angle...

 

this lead me to hunt GTB...

 

My finally ambitions is to fast clear ET and make copies, so I think maybe I need GTB or Lindi....?

 

any suggestion?

 

btw, any other classes can do ET close / faster than DB RK? Mechanic? Gene?

DB RK is among the fastest clearing class, but you either have to stop at Valk, or make a fairly expensive Hundred Spears or IB alt gear-set to be able to get past her. Or go the Pororoca Shoes route. GTB card is not required for killing Valk, you can stack enough resists to not die quicker than you can pot with the exception of her EQ.

 

Lion's Howl Sura can clear really quick too, probably faster than DB RK because of snap. Rebel and Gene also clear pretty fast. If you are just going for GTB and only GTB, Rebel would be a solid choice, since they are both cheap to gear and can clear floors quick.

 

For full clears, Gene would likely have the easiest time overall, all gear being equal. They just offer so much utility.

Pororoca Shoes w/ pure DB-RK:

• Pororoca Shoes enables Level 5 Deluge
• Level 5 Deluge enhances water elemental damage by a flat 20%, so Valkyrie will take 20% damage from water element instead of 0%
• Cast Deluge and stand in its AOE, use Water Dragon Breath to hit Valkyrie

i made multiple rebels to farm GTB and just got tired and never really used them after a while. just do this if you are dedicated

 

you can try what i did if you want these rebels. get vip, 10 day is pretty cheap and will make it faster for you. 2 day is free too like bearl said. make multiple 100 rebel and get round trip. do TI per day per rebel and put all exp to job. you can keep the free manual for rebel if you want. just do it until all rebel has slug shot and max platinum altar. makes your life much easier to just use 1 slug shot.

 

doesnt take that long as you think. you can pretty much make a rebel in a couple hours.

do you think it is worth or not worth to eat HE Bubble Gum?

I means, HE Bubble Gum, last 15 mins, each 3 runs takes 10mins let's say,

kinda waste.

anyway, pretty much this kind of setup? you dont need the celine ribbon and brooch. i just use it for the fixed cast.

 

mbta for def pierce, kingbird probation shotgun, gray wing boots, menblatt faw EA 4/2/1 w/ FLP for those range dmg. no shadow gears.

 

i forgot, but i believe i got lvl100 stats. the char is 117.

do you think using very cheap gear can do the jobs?

 

Trying to avoid going the storage to transfer gears... it takes time

 

also... SP problems, any good gears for sp leech?

he gum would be good if you have the funds and if it boosts the card drop rate. i believe there should be a minimum drop % for the card drop to be boosted enough to see a difference. there is a thread about it somewhere in the forums.

 

as for 1 he gum. you can pretty much use it for 6 runs. 1st gum use in the 1st run at GTB spawn/kill. runs after will take ~3mins each. minimum 5runs and if fast enough 6runs per gum. most of the time wasted is actually just spent moving from save point to generating ET. floors 1-5 is relatively fast. if you look at my screenshot, only half the timer is used on bless and agi. that's ~2mins from floor 1 to killing GTB. i used a priest outside to buff me and then enter.

 

storage? make a guild and use guild storage lol. or if you were making alts, make it all on one account. you only need to use the storage/gear when running the alts. ET is once(3x) a week. i was using CVB for sp/hp return pretty much. no sp problems. flat sp per kill cards/gears should be enough. just get a def pierce and ranged % gears after. you can also just put 120dex instead if you want less gears. other stats isnt even needed if you only use it for GTB.

the game will only work with increments of at least 0.01 to drop rates.
Since card rates are 0.01, it needs a full multiple of 100% for each increment

Card rates is 0.01%, you need a full 100% boost to increase the drop rate for another 0.01%

You can think of it as, it only register 2 decimals in the drop rate.

Right now server have 25% boost, to make a full 100% boost you will need another 75%, 50% can come from VIP, which means you need to cover another 25% from gears(happy balloon/ amistr bag/ lian shoes etc)

HE Gum boost 200% = 0.02% extra

Normal Gum boost 100% = 0.01% extra

Lion's Howl being 15x15 and the skill Snap are the main two reasons Suras can clear among the fastest.

 

Gene might not be the best at clearing at the moment with some of the new OCP stuff, but they are just so convenient to use when running ET. They can move really fast, have just about every element at their disposal, including Holy and Shadow, have tons of storage on-hand, and can use FCP so you don't need to mail broken gear to an alt smith to fix. Condensed Whites also heal more, and they have a free tank with their homunculus. The utility they have is the main reason runs are so easy with them, and the reason a lot of people choose to make Gene clones for chaining several ET clears using the same gear.

 

My Gene is about half as geared as my RK and I find running with her takes a little longer, but is overall much easier. ET can be finished with sub-par gear on a Gene if you take the time to change elements and prepare ahead of time for the harder MVPs like Valk or Ifirit. Whereas with a DB RK, you need to sink about 3b or more into a seperate set of gear for a physical build just for Valk.

0.01 + 100% = 0.02

0.01+ 399% = 0.0499 = 0.04

0.01 + 400% = 0.05
