How come the Soul Reaper won't be added to iRO? I think it's about God damn time to update the SL class to SR! They need to be able to gain new skills and be able to join the other classes to the game's max level along with other people. There's been tons of patches and updates for everything else but absolutely NOT for the SL. Seriously though why the hell not?

Because "The Studio" (The Korean team designate for updating iRO)  spend 1 day to see what is going on in iRO servers (I think is less than one day, just a couple of hours, well you, is only the day we have maintenance).

It isn't profitable. Updates take money, and their NA subsidiary isn't making bank, at least not as much as they'd deem economically feasible.

Seems weird because the content is already made. RO publishing is whack. Grav could probably rehab RO1 just by relaunching under one publishing company and pushing progression server updates globally instead of ferreting around to all the random regional licensees asking for custom stuff. Kinda dumb to make brand new content and only push it to one region. If translation was the only barrier it would be so easy to keep regions up to date. Just really awkward that they would go through the trouble of making the stuff only to have servers fall 10 years behind. If WP can't "buy" the TKM & SL expacs, then Gravity will make exactly $0 from holding on to the IP.

 

I mean how much can hosting costs for a RO server really be if you stick a server into a datacenter cage? Illegal servers are run out of some dude's closet and work just fine. AWS is probably on the pricier end but with RO's small amount of traffic it would still probably be peanuts.

I'm gonna get my Soul Linker to 99/70 then stop playing because I'm not longer gonna support them until I see an update with the Soul Reaper.

that's what about over 50% of the server is doing right now. Not updates = Not playing and not supporting.

Sounds about right sadly but it's their fault.
