I've read some past threads on this issue. Some of them say it works and some say it doesn't. I'm confused. Does Ghostring Card work on monsters at present? Please elaborate.

THANK YOU!

It works against monster skills that have neutral property, such as Earthquake. It doesn't work against monster auto-attacks, which is a special neutral property.

Put another way:

  • Monster auto-attacks vs. players: Elemental modifier (determined by the combination of attacking element and defending element) is always 100% against players
    • Neutral property reductions still work against monster auto-attacks
  • Monster skills vs. players: Elemental modifier depends on the attacking element and defending element, following the element tables on the wiki
    • The highest defending element level a player can have is 1 (e.g., Holy 1)
  • Player auto-attacks and skills vs. players: Ditto
  • Player auto-attacks and skills vs. monsters: Ditto

So all in all, Ghostring Card is not effective for PvM. In fact, it's just a complete waste of time. Right?

I have two high-refined armors equipped with Ghostring Cards. Now I have to desocket them in order to sell them.

What armors should I compound the Ghostring Cards with in order to facilitate the sale of the cards? I mean what armors do players prefer to have Ghostring Cards on? Factoring that information into my consideration will hasten the successful sale of the cards.

And how much can I sell Ghostring Cards for nowadays?

I'm assuming players would just buy the Ghostring Card from me which is already slotted into their preferred armor of choice. Hence they don't need to desocket the card just to slot it into another armor. Please correct me if I'm wrong here. And if I'm wrong, I guess I can just slot the Ghostring Card into any armor before selling it.

Just 20-50M? Really?

To avoid decarding fund:
1. prepare a raw card
2. make agreement with the buyer; prepare the armor to be carded
3. the buyer trade the armor to you
4. you compound the card
5. you trade the armor back

but tbh, its just all based on the agreement regarding who will pay for decarding and all

and yea, i bought mine 50m, this was in late 2020 but i think it has not go higher drastically

Price: I bought one for 10m a few months ago. I saw someone vending two for 35m over the weekend.

Desocketing (vending) vs. carding: Hypothetically I could offer to card someone's equipment, but I don't return the armor. I just log off--i.e., the buyer just got scammed.

  • The scam itself should not be a concern: screenshots and a ticket should reverse the scam, and get the seller banned
  • The real problem is that the buyer won't have the armor until a GM gets around to the ticket, which could take a few days or longer

In order to avoid that scenario (loss of armor for a few days), some potential buyers will gladly pay the desocketing fees for armor that's already carded. Another consideration in favor of vending: potential buyers who aren't active at the same time as you, so your pool of potential buyers for the carding option could be smaller vs. vending.
