How do I load up my account now? And how to buy VIP?

What items from the cash shop can I sell to get zenny? How much can I sell Bloody Branch and Token of Seigfried Box? Chaos server.

I have like 14000 prize medal. Is there any item I can redeem and sell that is worthwhile?

Is there free stat reset?

Thanks!

Free Stat Reset:

  • Each character gets a one-time free stats and skills reset. Speak to the Mesmerist NPC (coordinates: 17, 35) on the first floor of Eden, to the left of and behind the counter
  • Occasionally the Mesmerist NPC's one-time reset is, well, reset, but not sure when the last time that happened was
  • Otherwise, wait until the end of the year. Santa should appear at the time and offer a one-time reset, too

Not free, but you can always use Magical Stones (Reset Stones) to reset your stats. Sam Status NPC is in Payon and Prontera.

  • You can redeem 8 Eden Merit Badges to get 1 Magical Stone
  • You get Eden Merit Badges for completing every four Bounty quests, or for completing Gramps Turn-in quests
  • You can also exchange Old Purple Boxes (5 for 1 badge) or Giant Faceworm Snake Skins (1 unslotted for 5 badges, 1 slotted for 7 badges)

Speak to the NPC, Merry Badger (13, 22), on the first floor of Eden to redeem or exchange for badges.

If your base level is under 100, you get an infinite amount of skill resets. Speak to the Hypnotist NPC in Prontera, Izlude or Lasagna.

How to find NPCs:

In-game:

  • Expand the UI (click the expand button underneath the Basic Info panel) and click on Navigation
  • Type in the name of the NPC (e.g., Hypnotist)
    • This search is not case-sensitive
  • Click on the name of the NPC
  • Look at the town and coordinates of the NPC
  • Optional: Click on the location of an NPC and click the Find button
    • This will trigger the navigation wayfinder, but mostly this is only useful when you're on the same map or adjacent map for the coordinates
    • Alternatively, you can trigger the navigation wayfinder manually via in-game command: /navi map_name_here X/Y
      • Example: /navi prontera 146/232

Load up your account:

  • Log in to a non-Steam WarpPortal account at warpportal.com
  • Go to Power-Up
  • Buy WPE (WarpPortal Energy)
  • Convert WPE to KP (Kafra Points) for your RO account

Buy VIP:

Both methods are in the game.

With KP:

  • Log in to your RO account that has KP and select a character (any)
  • Go to the Cash Shop
    • Click on the Cash Shop button near the top-right button
    • Or expand the UI (click the expand button underneath the Basic Info panel) and click on Cash Shop
  • Buy [10Day] Premium Subscription
    • You can search for "Premium" in the search field to find it more easily
    • This item can be put into storage, traded and vended
  • Open the item with a character on the account you want VIP for
    • You will see buff/status icons for Exp Up and Increase Drop Rate. This indicates the account has VIP
    • All characters for this account will have VIP

With zeny:

  • Find someone selling [10Day] Premium Subscription for zeny
  • Buy it from them

Sometimes you will find sellers on the first floor of Eden (chat), but you should always find a seller in Prontera (sell shop). See below for details on how to find items that are being vended by players.

How to find items that are being vended:

(Walking through Eden or Prontera can be a nightmare. Hide/unhide shops with Shift+F11 and chats with Ctrl+F11.)

Each town has a Shopping Board, usually near the "main" Kafra NPC in that town, that allows you to search for items that are being vended (sell shops or buy shops) by players. However, it's limited to the town where the Shopping Board is located. Because of that and because Ragial no longer exists, most player shops are set up in Prontera. Prontera has four Shopping Boards; you can use any. Here are their coordinates:

  • 146, 85
  • 127, 215
  • 160, 193
  • 182, 214

The search is case-sensitive. For example, to find Bloody Branch, you need to type this in for the Item name: Bloody Branch

  • This won't work: bloody branch

You can do partial searches by toggling "Search Partial", but that's still case-sensitive. For example: Bloody B

If too many items (not search results) have the same characters as a partial search, the search won't work. That's why I used "Bloody B" in the example above instead of just "Bloody".

You can search for what's available in sell shops (hit the radio button for "Sale" type) and buy shops (hit the radio button for "Buy" type). Sale is selected by default when you click on the Shopping Board.

You can only conduct one valid search each time you click on the Shopping Board. This means that after you run a search, you can either:

  • close the search window and open it again (click on the Shopping Board again)
  • or while the search window is still open, click on the Shopping Board again (the remaining search counter will reset to 1)

Bloody Branch & Token of Siegfried box value:

Use the Shopping Board to find current market rates. However, keep in mind that just because someone is selling an item at a certain price, that does not mean potential buyers would buy at that price. In some cases you can reference the buy shop vends and first floor of Eden to see what buyers want to pay. That, along with sell shop vend prices, are inputs you can use to determine what you could sell an item for (somewhere between the current sell prices and desired buy prices).

Bloody Branch can be vended in sell shops and buy shops.

Token of Siegfried can only be vended in sell shops.

Personally, at this very moment, the lowest I would sell BB for is 20m.

For Token of Siegfried boxes, see below.

Cash Shop Items you can sell:

For quick cash but low KP-to-zeny ratios, put up a chat in Eden and say you're selling 100 KP for 20m zeny. That's a standard ratio for a really quick sale. If you have more patience, use a more favorable ratio (e.g., 100 KP for 25m or even 30m). Keep in mind that the rate should be less than what is already available elsewhere (other KP sellers or sell shops). For example, if a sell shop is selling Neuralizer for 100m, I lose out on potential Neuralizer buyers by trying to sell 100 KP for 30m (120m)--as long as that Neuralizer is available for 100m in the market.

Otherwise, if you want to sell specific items via sell shops, these items that always have demand:

  • VIP (the [10Day] Premium Subscription)
  • Neuralizer
  • Refinement ores: Enriched Elunium/Oridecon, HD Carnium/Bradium
    • Forget about HD Elunium/Oridecon. They're only useful with Safe to 10 Certificates
  • Silvervine
  • Mistress Wing

Your patience will determine how high you can sell them for. Rates that I typically see:

  • VIP: 50m (2:1 zeny-to-KP ratio, where 2 = 20m, and 1 = 100 KP)
  • Neuralizer: 120-160m (between 3:1 and 4:1)
  • Enriched Elunium/Oridecon 10: 50-60m (between 2.4:1 and 3:1)
  • HD Carnium/Bradium 5: 20-25m (about 3:1)
  • Silvervine: 10-16m (between 2.5:1 and 4:1)
  • Mistress Wing: 120-150m (between 2.4:1 and 3:1)

Heavy Lifter Box (120-150m between 2.4:1 and 3:1) and Omni Clothing Dye (45m or 3:1) are other options, but because they are "permanent", they typically have less consistent demand.

Token of Siegfried is probably 25-40m (between 2.5:1 and 4:1). However, because Eden Merit Badges can be exchanged for Tokens of Siegfried, and each character in a VIP account can have a max of 10 free Tokens of Siegfried daily, this has less demand.

During refinement events (Enriched or Mad Bunny), you will see an increase in demand for Enriched Elunium/Oridecon (Enriched event and Mad Bunny event) and HD Carnium/Bradium (Mad Bunny event). During past events, some people have successfully sold at really high rates during the first hour of such events, like 5:1 (e.g., 600m for 1200 KP: HD Carnium/Bradium 100).

Prize Medals:

From the list of what can be redeemed with Prize Medals, see what's being vended in Prontera and for how much. Determine if that value is good for you, where value is a factor of the price and likelihood of selling.

Personally, I would redeem 5 Witch Starsand per Prize Medal (70K total WSS), and sell for 3-4K each. I see a bunch of buy shops in Prontera for 3K each, so 70K * 3K zeny = 210m zeny.

Or if I were really in a gambling mood, I would:

  • Get Brocca (1500 prize medals in Einbroch)
  • Grandma Boxter (second floor of Eden): Exchange 2 Brocca for OCP III. In the dialog it's listed as Skewer
  • Gamble with OCP III: 2.56% chance of getting Lian Bundle B (Lian Shoes, Lian Shield, Lian Robe), 2.56% chance of Cylinder Hairband, 2.56% chance of Pororoca Bundle A (Pororoca Shoes and L'acryma Stick)
    • Use the Lian Shoes myself or sell everything
    • Use the Cylinder Hairband myself or sell (useful for leveling Geneticist)
    • Use the Pororoca Shoes myself or sell (useful for water magic)

Wow thank you for this informative answer. Couple more questions.

1. I've been trying to load up my account by when I choose "power up", it says that something went wrong. I'm using google chrome. Have you experienced this?

2. For the Shopping Board, does it show all vending shops across the server or just the ones in Prontera/the town the Shopping Board is on?

3. Oh that's why nobody is selling Token of Seigfried anymore. Where can I monitor events?

4. Is redeeming weapon using the prize medal at random or can I choose?

Again, Thank you!

3. No one's selling because they don't think people will buy, but maybe instead it's an untapped market. If you want to take the risk to find out, you could try putting one up for sale and see if it sells eventually.

  • You can see when an event starts (the same day that the event starts) by looking at the weekly maintenance threads here in the forums or the patch notes at renewal.playragnarok.com
  • As long as an event is ongoing, it's also mentioned in the maintenance threads / patch notes

4. My mistake: It's not random for getting Brocca. Speaking with the NPC in Einbroch, you can choose which item specifically to get. I'll correct my earlier post. The only gambling is what you'll get from OCP III.

Thanks! Did the same and was able to load up my account.

Oh ok, so that's why. I was wondering why the items I saw on Payon was not listen when I checked the shopping board in Prontera.

Regarding vending, I've been away from RO so long and want to just clarify this, when I input the amount of the item I want to sell in the store/vend, the amount corresponds to the price per piece right? i.e. I have 10 Bloody Branches and if I input the amount of 15m, that amount is per piece of the BB, and not for the whole 10 pcs. Is this correct? I'm hesitant to open a store/vend as I can't remember if this is the case. Please also teach me how to do offline vend.

Also, for leveling 3rd jobs, 99/0, is it still better to look for a guild and have a tax imposed on the character so that it will not level up from 99 to 100 easily and earn a lot of skill points? As I remember this is the practice back then. Also how do you get rid of experience points now? Is getting killed still the way? I have a gypsy lvl 99 with 96% bexp and if leveling the job is a priority before the base level, i think i need to suicide a couple of time to reduce the base exp.

Lastly, if I have VIP, can I still choose if I will allot all of the awarded EXP from board quests and gramps to either BEXP or JEXP?

Thanks again!

Yep. You could also try it out to see what happens:

  • Set up a shop inside a building, using easily obtainable items--e.g., Jellopy
    • Shopping Board is actually limited to the same map where the Shopping Board is, not the same town; insides of buildings are on different maps than the main town
  • With another character on another account, buy from the shop you set up
  • Look at how much zeny you lose/earn

Offline vending:

When you open a VIP box, you will get two envelopes:

  • Consignment Merchant Envelope: for setting up an offline sell shop
  • Personal Shopper Envelope: for setting up an offline buy shop:

When you open the envelope, the actual item (X Voucher) will appear and expire 10 days after you open the envelope. The item does not disappear upon use; it disappears when it expires. The envelopes and vouchers can be put into storage, but they cannot be traded or vended.

Use the item, set up your shop (this is the same as setting up a shop through the Merchant skill, except you can only set a max of four items), hit OK.

Choose where to place your shop. If you chose a valid location, hit OK again.

If you choose a location that is not allowed, the shop setup window will remain open. Hit OK to try choosing a location again.

To close your shop manually, click on your shop (using any character from the same account as the character you set up the shop with) and click on Cancel. Clicking Close just closes the window, not the shop.

Leveling 3rd Jobs:

What worked back then still works now. The method(s) you choose depend on how many skill points you need.

Why do you want to stay at level 99? Low TI is available to Lv 70-100 characters. Most best-in-slot equipment has a base level prerequisite of 100.

Personally, I do all 80-100 bounties (or as many I feel like doing), Eden 91-99 quests, and Gramps Low TI (if my 2nd class character can handle it, or I use another character, like a Lv 100 Rebel, on another account for getting the kill counts). Then I assign all bounties and TI EXP to Job.

Losing EXP points:

Yep, getting killed is the only way to lose EXP. Most people save at Pharos (teleport from Comodo via Kafra NPC) for dying and returning to save point repeatedly. Upon respawn, many also use the First Aid skill for a low-SP cost way of immediately getting noticed by nearby aggressive monsters. Technically, however, you can just press any skill bar hotkey, even if no skill/item/equip is assigned to it.

VIP and combining EXP:
Yes, and it's listed in the VIP benefits:

https://irowiki.org/...vers_Comparison

Getting killed is the only way to lose EXP. The game's mechanics are still the same.

VIP and combining EXP:
Yes, and it's listed in the VIP benefits:

https://irowiki.org/...vers_Comparison

Oh ok. I thought all the VIP offers now are those listed in the item description.

Yes, I was staying on Low TI to accumulate skill points as I remember, its hard to level up job compared to the base as high level mobs does not really give good job exp.

Can you suggest a updated or at least still relevant guide for Rebel class? I've quit before that class was released.

Thank you again!

I forgot to add that I use a BMX3 (you can redeem 20 Eden Merit Badges to get a BMX3 buff, usually cheaper than buying an actual BMX3 item) before turning in the quests. For most classes, one round of bounties, Eden 91-99 and Low TI grants enough skill points for the "right" 3rd class skills to be usable.

The pinned Rebel thread in the Classes -> Expanded Classes forum is still relevant in terms of equipment and what to do/use for leveling (some of the skill prereqs could be outdated). The only new Rebel-specific gear since that thread was last updated is Juggernaut. In reality, though, a Rebel in Low TI and Mid TI can probably one-shot all mobs with Round Trip using Eden equipment and Probation Gatling Gun (base level 100 prereq), which you can buy from a vending machine in Prontera at 92, 208. If you have SP-leech gear, you won't need to use (m)any consumables.

Oh ok. I thought all the VIP offers now are those listed in the item description.

The unfortunate reality is that most information you need to understand or enjoy the game cannot be found within the game, or it's not adequately explained within the game. That's why you're asking questions on the forums, right?

Another good alternative to Prize Medal exchange is to buy the slotted elemental wind armor, Aebecee's Raging Typhoon Armor[1] .

I've seen it being vended for more than 100M+ and it nets greater profit (and less of a gamble to exchanging Broccas) than Witch Starsands. The main con is it costs 1K Prize Medals and you'll have to compete with other vendors... if there are even any. However, as long as you sell it for more than 20M, you basically make the same amount as Witched Starsands.

It's not recommended to exchange for the other slotted elemental armors since:

Lucius's Fierce Armor of Volcano [1] is dropped by Ifrit

* Saphien's Armor of Ocean [1] is dropped by Kraken

* Saphien's Armor of Ocean [1] can be substituted by Frozen Breastplate [1]

* Claytos Cracking Earth Armor [1] can be substituted by Harden Breastplate [1]

while earth and water have "replacements", the level requirement means you can't get to use them until you are at a point where you could theoretically start ignoring elements altogether. It's best suited for when the characters are still relatively squishy.

If level is what you are looking for, you can also use your Prize medal to exchange for either base or job exp. Compliment it with VIP buff, Battle Manual X3 and Job Manual and you can get from base lvl1-99 and job lvl1-50 or 70 in seconds. You first surrender an amount of Prize medals of your liking then you can choose how much medals you consume in exchange for base or job exp.

I could not remember how much exact Prize medals it costs but as I remember, I spent around 6k~8k and was able to get from novice lvl1 to 3rd job in less than a couple of hours (including the job change quests, transcendent base99/job70).

Hello. Thank you for this tip. Will look into the price of that armor now. Also, what do you mean by witch starsands? Can I exchange the prize medal for it? And how much or whom should I sell those?

I really don't mind doing the leveling since i'm enjoying it and i'm in quarantine right now. But thanks for the tip!

Oh, okay. I thought the other commenter is suggesting another way to make money using the Witch Starsand.

Also, can I use the offline vending on 1 character, and offline buying on another, and then play 1 more character in the same account?

FishDeity suggested another option you can use with Prize Medals: Redeem them for wind elemental armor and sell it. Then compared that with the ROI (return on investment) of redeeming Prize Medals for Witch Starsand and selling them.

The purpose of offline vending is that your character doesn't need to be online in order to vend, and the character isn't bound to the vending location. You can do offline vending (both buy and sell) with a single character, and still use that character simultaneously (for online vending or playing). That also means you can do each of the three with different characters simultaneously on the same account.

Thanks! I was hesitant to use VIP as I thought I can't play with my character/account when using offline vending/buying.
