[Quest Guide] - 2021 Melon Festival (05/21/2021~06/24/2021)
Lilyou Family has come to Geffen, bringing to us the Melon Festival.
*Geffen city has been decorated with melons.
*Dalcom and Huge Dalcom have been added to the maps
*It seems Dalcom is how "sweet" is pronouced in Korean
*This is my first guide ever, please give me some feedback

[Quest Monsters]
Porings have eaten melons that grew in the wild and became Melonized-Poporings!
All over Midgard there are about 3~5 Dalcom and Huge Dalcom per map.
-Dalcom
Monster Info:
Takes 1 damage per hit;
Can be Stolen using Thief [Steal] skill;
Known Drops:
-Sweet Melon - consumable (common);
-Dalcom Skin - etc item (uncommon - maybe 10%)
-Melon Bread- consumable (rare)
*Despite showing weight 0, its actually 5 ea
-Huge Dalcom
*It seems there are less Huge Dalcom than Dalcom in maps
Monster info:
Takes 1 damage per hit;
Can be Stolen using Thief [Steal] skill;
Known Drops:
-Sweet Melon - consumable (common);
With my Sorcerer it healed about 1.100 life without the quest hat, at lvl 155, vit 90+20. With Mini Melon hat, it healed 3.600.
-Melon Parfait - consumable (uncommon)
Despite saying weight: 0, it actually has weight 5;
-Suspicious Melon - etc item (very rare)
[Quest] I will grind melons for you
Prerequisite: base level 20.
Reward: 5 Dalcom Melon Juice & access to "Go to Aldebaran to find Flour" quest
Go to Geffen 88/33 (/navi geffen 88/33), south of the fountain and a little to the west, and speak to Lavender2018family, a sage with Mini Melon on her head.
Choose always the first option to proceed. You will receive "I will grind melons for you" quest in your quest list (alt+u)
She will ask you to bring her 10 "Dalcom Melon". Kill Dalcom and Huge Dalcom in any map to colect 10 Sweet Melons.

When you come back to her with 10 Sweet Melons, she will reward you with 5 Dalcom Melon Juice (see description below). You can now exchange Sweet Melons + zeny for Melon Juice or Dalcom Melon Juice consumables by selecting "Request a juice" option.
*it seems at the end of the dialog you can also craft Melon Bread, but once closed you can only craft more after completing "Go to Aldebaran to find Flour", so I'll describe the item there.
-"Dalcom Juice" / Melon Juice - consumable
Cost: 1 Sweet Melon + 1.000 Zeny = 1 Melon Juice
-Dalcom Melon Juice - consumable
Cost: 5 Sweet Melons + 2.500 zeny = 1 Dalcom Melon Juice
(not recommended to make less than 10 at a time or you wont get the Dalcom Coin)
-Dalcom Coin - etc item
Make multiples of 10 Dalcom Melon Juice at a time to get 1 for each 10 exchanged at once
Price: 50 Sweet Melon + 25.000 Zeny = 1 Dalcom Coin
*Used at Palpadora NPC for random reward
Quest dialog when you bring the Sweet Melons
[Quest] Go to Aldebaran to find Flour
Prerequisite: complete "I will grind melons for you" quest.
Reward: 10 Melon Breads and 2 Melon Parfait; Lavender will be able to craft Melon Bread; and you will automatically begin “Melon Festival Hat” Quest.
Go to Geffen 88/33 (/navi geffen 88/33), south of the fountain and a little to the west, and speak to Lavender2018family, a sage with Mini Melon on her head.
Choose always the first option to proceed. You will receive "Go to Aldebaran to find Flour" quest in your quest list (alt+u). She will request you to bring her:
- 1 Sweet Melon / “Dalcon Melon”
- Hunt Dalcom and Huge Dalcom in any field map for this;
- 1 Milk
- You can buy it from “Vendor from Milk Ranch” NPC in Prontera near coordinates 75/136 (/navi prontera 75/136) for 25z ea;
- 1 Organic Wheat Flour
- Obtained in the quest
Quest dialog:
Go to Al De Baran near coordinates 98/55 (/navi aldebaran 98/55) and talk to Mysterious Merchant. You might need to rotate your screen to see him. Notice the yellow balloon indicating the quest wont be shown on the minimap.
Tip: you can warp to Aldebaran from Prontera Kafra teleport service, so you can go there just after buying the milk.
Just press enter, there is only one option. The NPC will give you 1 Organic Wheat Flour – etc item.
Quest dialog:
Now return to Lavender. Choose always the first option to proceed. You will receive 10 Melon Breads and 2 Melon Parfait; Lavender will now be able to craft Melon Bread; and you will automatically begin “Melon Festival Hat” Quest.

Cost: 5 Sweet Melon + 1.500z = 1 Melon Bread
Quest dialog:
[Quest] Melon Festival Hat (not repeatable)
Prerequisite: complete "Go to Aldebaran to find Flour" quest.
Reward: 1 Costume Mini Melon (one per character) + 1 Melon Parfait
Go to Geffen near the coordinates 108/63 (/navi geffen 108/63), northwest of the fountain, and speak to Nannabi.
Choose always the first option to proceed. She will ask you to collect 30 Dalcom Skins. Only Dalcom drops those, not Huge Dalcom, and the drop is “uncommon”, maybe 10%~20% chance to drop. That considering VIP active and the server current drop boost. I recommend using thief or evolutions with Steal skill.
*Even not having done the previous quests, or after completing this quest, you can exchange 10 Dalcom Skins for 1 Dalcom Melon Juice. I DO NOT RECOMMEND DOING THIS EXCHANGE. It might takes some hours to farm 30 Dalcom Skins and you can only get 1 costume per character. Its preferable to save it to make more costumes or to sell, considering you can get Dalcom Melon Juice much cheaper from Lavender.

Once you get the Dalcom Skins, return to Nannabi and select always the first option. You will be rewarded Costume Mini Melon.
Quest dialog:
[Quest] We are hosting a big Melon Contest
Prerequisite: base level 20.
Reward: random.
Go to Geffen near the coordinates 141/43 (/navi geffen 141/43) and talk to Palpadora.
She will explain that she can exchange 2 different items for random rewards:
- Suspicious melon;
- Only drops from Huge Dalcom at a low chance. It’s an etc item.
- 1 Suspicious melon = 1 random item;
- *Despite the quest cooldown at your Quest List (alt+u) you can keep delivering suspicious melons for rewards;
- Dalcom coin;
- Only obtainable by exchanging multiples of 10 Sweet Melons at once for Dalcom Melon Juice in Lavender. Each 10 exchanged at once will give you 1 Dalcom coin;
- That means every 50 Sweet Melons + 25.000z = 1 Dalcom Coin = 1 reward;
- 1 Dalcom coin = 1 random item;

She will measure your suspicious melon and tell you the size. If it’s the biggest ever shown, your nickname and its size will be displayed as the record, which everyone can check by talking to her:
Quest dialog:
Curiosity: I believe “Palpadora” is a word in Spanish and Portuguese for who “squeezes something with hand”. So she is basically the NPC that will squeeze your melons to check its size and then tell everyone who had the greatest melon O.O
