Yes, to elaborate further, the keys are not tied to certain month kachuas and are tied to kachuas as a whole. This means when kachua items change, the keys you bought the month before but use during a new item roll-over will drop only from the newer list.

This is a good thing for everyone when they got everything they want from the latest kachua and still have leftover keys.
