I see a lot of armors with abilities unlocking at that point, but how are people able to get it that high without going through multiple pieces breaking? Just making my crimson weapons +7 required me to go through several ones of each element. Armor just scares me to upgrade passed +4 because I can't afford multiple sets. Is there a safe way to get to +8?

It just says you need to whale. There doesn't seem to be any way to safely go from +4 to +7, you just lower your risk even when spending money. Of course, there are certificates that it doesn't tell you how to get.

This is how people get certificates. Alternatively, you can buy them from players. But if you have spare Oridecons and Elunium, and equipment that doesn't worth much but falls into the criteria that Eat Gear NPC accepts, you can try your luck hammering them to +7~+9 and then feed them to get the certificates accordingly. Thanks, this is really useful. I now have a use for all those jackets, adventure suits, and glittering jackets I've picked up until now. Just need to farm some elus and I can start grinding away for the tickets. It will at least make getting +7 easier and then it's just a matter of collecting money to get BSBs.

Glad to be of help. Low TI's Alarm was a jackpot because of Oridecon drops. I, too, have a lot of those stuff from ET and MvP hunting drops. I just hammer them all just to get rid of them so they won't take so much space on my storage, I've got several +7s now and I intend to turn them in to the Eat Gear NPC all at once.

This was helpful for someone who doesnt want to spend alot of real world dollars. I didn’t realize some low level gear was still valuable. Now i just gotta find a good place for farming lv 3 weapons

just be aware that you are still gambling if you are going to get certs out of it or not, and depending on the price of the upgrade Ores, it might not be worth it to try your luck and is better to just buy from others instead.

Red Flame Whip dropped by Medusa are useless lvl 3 weapons to farm. If anyone needs any, can forum message me as I throw several away each day.

I don’t have that kind of zenny to buy +7 or more armaments at the moment. I’m working on it, but while I’m farming and looking for things to sell, it is still wonderful to know I have a chance for a cert at the mimic . The really good gear just makes me cry. So farming it is for now.

Wait, so in order to give the equip to the Eat Gear, you have to have it equipped?

Sorry, I just read the irowiki and it said the equip must be able to be equipped, so yeah, basically you have to equip it (or not, only be able to equip it, but it's basically all the same in the end)
