So i juz hit 83 and went to siromas to lvl and found that killing them is almost impossible! takes me 2 JTs + a firewall to kill em. I start off wif a JT then put up a firewall in front of me then JT agn but even before i can shoot off my 2nd JT, the siroma somehow breaks thru the firewall and starts raping me.

Before i tried out siromas, i was at goats 1 shotting em wif cold bolt but the exp ther is really slow now, so i dun plan on going back ther anymore.(been ther for wayyy too long aswell)

So any1 hav any tips on how to train more efficiently at siromas? or maybe a better lvling spot? I usually solo myself but i guess i could try to find a party somewher.

Base stats: 99 int, 50 dex, 30 vit.
Equips: mostly eden gears.
Skills: maxed firewall, fire/cold bolt, JT, SG, MS, Heavens D, Quagmire 3, icewall 1.

ps: i only chose siromas cuz thers not alot of aggros over ther, good for soloing.

you can try vertical firewall, so it wont break so fast, its easy to make, just cast firewall on the same cell than you are, it will be located in north/south direction, cast jt in a way that when siroma (or other enemy) is going to attack you, will go first again all 3 pilars of firewall, meaning a lot of time to cast other jt or other fw. I didnt lvl any 99- since renewal, but i guess (correct me if im wrong) glast heim can be a good choice with firewall (just killing with it) or new world, with firewall/firebolt combo.

Lol i knew about vertical but its not gonna work very well since siromas walk around alot, so when it goes on a 45 degree angle, my firewall usually fks up. Tried quagmireing em and then double JT simultaneously, they juz run right thru quag asif thers no speed reduction.

Tried glast heim, not bad, they walk slow as so i dont take alot of dmg and 1 firewall is enough to block them for quite a while but all my bolts and JT only do dmg in the low 2k's. SG JT combo doesnt kill em either, so it takes me bout 3 firebolts + a firewall to kill em (cept for the funneh zombie that walks right thru the firewall and takes masssss dmg). High survivability, but low exp rate, + spawn isint exactly amazing on the map that is appropriate for my lvl.

The lowest monster in new world, pinguicula, is lvl 105 which means i hav to be at least lvl 90 to start getting good exp from em so thats not an option for the moment.... but thanks for the suggestions. XD

You might want to try Roweens. They are pretty decent exp and you can use FWall + HDrive on them. It will probably take you 3 HD lvl 5's to kill them though and 2 FWalls.

Stapo's may be a good monster as well. They are lvl 95 and Earth based so will take xtra damage from FWall + FBolt combo.


My Wizard is currently lvl 92 and has Base 93 Int and 92 Dex. His MAtk is 216+235 (+7 Soul Staff and +7 COD). It still takes him 2 casts of Lvl 10 JT to kill 1 siroma. But if I time it right and make sure they don't hit a wall I can do it without FWall.

I really hate how sucky renewal has made mid-late lvl Wizards. It's so damn tough to lvl and no one really wants to party any more.

Thx for that, imma juz stick to glast heim for nother 2 lvls then skip to stapos, they seem preety easy to kill + only aggros on the map are plants so its gonna be piss to survive.

wow i want ur equips bad!! specially the COD!! casting time for my AoE skills are ridiculous, doesnt even seem to be worth using in almost any situations. Even wif mobs of 3-4 at goats, i still bolt them as fast as doing a lvl 7 SG...

i rmb how pre-renewal wizzies were so awsome, insta-casting AoE skills for kill counts in a massive parties wif lots of pullers. sigh... i really miss the turn in parties...

ps: 92 dex? i thought dex doesnt affect the cast time that much anymore since theres a fixed casting time that isint affected by it.

Well My wiz was already lvl 86 before renewal hit and I didn't want to mess with the stats. It still helps though so it's not totally wasted. I just really really hate how slow SG and such are to cast now as well. The +7 COD really doesn't seem like it's doing anything to tell you the truth.

yea its not totally wasted but since u hav the cod, the stats in dex could probably be better used in int/luk while not really making any diff from ur current cast time.
