Well everyone is pretty much into Arrow storm with the new release of Ignis Cap Type K.

i am not a fan of ranger, i've not played ranger untill recently.
i've watched some of the videos on youtube

Generally everyone have the same issue:

530 VCT / Def Bypass 

Thus. here's what i recommend for the lazy you





You can run a 108 Luk base stats with PDM & 2* Penetration Accessories,
90% Def Bypass on PDM , 5% on each +0 Penetration.

120Dex with Temporal Dex EA/HE & Temporal Ring and Sufficient INT to reach 530 VCT.

52 Base Str with 108 Luk for Mob Scarf Set.

Dolomedes , Zerom , Exchange Dex Lower/Middle. Whatever you want

Armor Slot left open.
i strongly recommend Dresses if not Illusion Armor w 2* ATK modules & 1 LR module

The only thing about this setup is the low eATK, which you can
supplement with Oda , Donut, HighOrc pet & Shield Spell / Gold Scaraba Cards

If you have excess funds could invest in 

• Temporal Dex EA/HE [1] with Vicious Cookie Card / Blut Haze
• Liberation Shadow Set for 10% Boss Atk
• Shadow Enhancement Box + 3%Atk or 5% LRange on all your shadows
• Costume Enchant Upper+Middle+Lower for 5% Eatk
• Higher Refined Bow w Atk% + Size/LongRange%

**Read up on diminish returns on Long Range for Ranger class. i shall not go into detail, it's all over the forum

I have not done a damage comparison with the other builds.
the usual ROJ + +25Penetration Set or the Dwing+Dboots, Ranger Shadow Set.
& tbh i will not be comparing. if you wish to contribute, please do

I don't care about Highest damage output , i care about QOL. i am lazy, swapping armor & shield spell is enough.

There many Garment you can use when leveling like Mysterious muffler, Skin of ladon, or even Faceworm skin for additional dex.

no, i've not maxed her, not anytime soon.

i enjoy testing build and coming up with possibilities.
i hope you do as well, therefore i shall not spoil the fun for you.

the guide shall be kept as such. some what half-done 
so others can explore possibilities within their budget & to suit their preference.

It doesn't change anything on your base stat distribution, it's just extra dex/int there if you want, at the cost of other shadows.

equipping free shadow set would lose 10% def pen
would need to raise base luk to mitigate that,

or was there other source of def pen in there?

You can run all of the game's content with 90% pen just fine. Especially considering this is supposed to be a "lazy" setup for AS, not a min max one.

going that route may not necessary have a big impact on the damage
however i am certain that you will not be able to instant cast.

you can definitely fit a spellflow or a lovepiece into your setup for that

What's the best shadow option assuming no Almighty. Currently using Liberation/Safeguard & +10 Physical.

my intend was never to showcase min-max damage setup.
i will not explore or discuss that option.

plus, i don't find any reason to force fit a ROJ into the setup.

If you need stats and can't get the almighty shadows then go for a 6/6 class shadow set for the +10 all stats. Whatever gets you closer to instant-cast is worth it for a general build like this since it is such a big quality of life improvement once you actually reach it.
