Do you need vitality for PVE/MVP? Or do you get your def and vit from new gear and cards?

Vit is still one of/the main source of increasing your hp pool. The reason people can go "full damage" on gears is because their characters are just durable enough to scrape by.

So just starting out and not having alot of high end gear, I should develop my character with some VIT you think?

with or without gear, you will want Vit regardless. It's not advised to ever skip on it unless you are fairly well experienced and are sure of what you are doing.

It really depends on your dps vs the mvp's dps. Put enough vit so you wouldn't be one shoted or atleast you could react to the damage or outpot it. By experience having the correct gear would matter more and some of those gear dictate what stats you need to put.

Well at the moment, the easiest gear i have been able to obtain is the event gear.

My 2 cents, and this is for solo play.

 

You need Vit and Int.

 

By all means, master the class you want. Love (or RE-Love) the game first. However, for late late game farming your looking at ~90-100 vit and 120 int.

 

Obviously you do not need int for just the MDef but for a skill that does a portion or all MAtk dmg in an aoe fashion.

 

The problem is there is no gear currently that allows for a massive MDef buff that isnt Golden Thief Bug Card (GTB) i'm aware of. Hopefully someone catches this thread an updates both OP an me.

 

Regardless, love the game first. Its amazing. Then really worry about late 2x game.
