Hello, guys! Well, I have a 172 lvl hybrid Ranger and I am thinking about to buy some gears to improve it and I'd want to know your opinion if the following items are a good choice or if there are any better items than them. Here are they:

 

• +11 Virtual Bow with 2 Hunter Fly Cards: currently I have an +11 Elven Bow with Skel Archer card. I was thinking of combining the VB with Hunter Fly Cards because I am really tired of spending a huge mount of zeny with potions. I know that those two cards won't avoid me of using potions, but I think that it will diminish the costs.
• Malicious Shadow Set: with all the gears of the set properly refined, it will stack with the Hunter Fly cards and improve the absorbtion effect.
• Imperial Feather + Royal Guard Necklace: I currently have just a simple goblin mask. And I also have a +9 Autumn Headband and 120 of Agi. I think that this combo will really increase my damage.
• +7 Gray Wing Boots: I have a plenty of White Wing Suit refined +9 and each one of them has an elemental card (Pasana, Swordfish, Dokebi...) and one with Porcellio card. So, I guess that those boots are the best option for me.
• Ring Of Jupiter: I already have a PDM and a bse Luk of 90. So, this accessory is the best option for me. Just don't know which card I should combine with it.
• Emeral Ring: Since the Ring Of Jupiter is too expensive, my second option of accessory is this one. I know it's not the best option, but I think it would still be quite effective.

Also, I already have a Prism Ranger's Scarf. But if you guys know a better option for garment than this one, please, comment below!

with how pricy hunter fly has gotten in the recent years, it takes a immensely long time for it to "pay itself" in potion saving. View it as a quality of life of not having to carry as many potions instead. How useful it is changes from class to class as well, if your class/build barely gets hit, they aren't that great, but if you are constantly taking damage, then their value goes up by a lot.

IMO, Imperial Set is not compatible with ranger, investing 120agi just for 180atk is too much, you wont struggle on getting ASPD as a ranger.

You can check out Gambler Set, Mob Scarf or even the latest release from OCP, Little Garden. 

You can consider Seraphim Coronet if you wish to go all in Arrow Storm build, with Ignis Cap Type K of course, 120 INT helps instant cast too.

Prism Ranger Scarf is pretty much your best option on most of the cases, unless you want/wish to spend billions to gain a little fraction of DPS increase.

Imperial Set is fine if you just want to have your aspd easily solved and require minimum buffs/gear elsewhere to max it out.

Oh its sure fine to use Imperial Feather since he bought it.

It's just, compare to other middle/lower headgear options, Imp Set is the most expensive and it doesn't give much to a ranger, especially Mob Scarf now is dirt cheap.

One thing I'm curious about is why I can always spot someone using Imp Set over other options for a ranger. It really makes me wonder.

IMO, Imperial Set is not compatible with ranger, investing 120agi just for 180atk is too much, you wont struggle on getting ASPD as a ranger.

You can check out Gambler Set, Mob Scarf or even the latest release from OCP, Little Garden.

Well, the problem with Mob Scarf set is that I should have STR in other to gain the ATK bonus. I have at least 90 of LUK in order to gain 6% of ATK, but it's not the ideal. But the Gambler Set seems a good option; I just have to exchange the AGI points to LUK, and it would let me ignore more 15% of Hard Defense because of my PDM.

Being a CRIT Hybrid Ranger because of the Gambler set would be the same thing if I had 120 of AGI because of the Imperial Set?

IMO, Imp set doesn't give you a well stats distribution set up. It's most likely that its better off investing your stats on other, as roughly 90 AGI is enough to max out your ASPD.

Gambler Set/Mob Scarf offer you more by investing in LUK, and it pair well with a lot of other gears like PDM or ROJ that require at least 125 LUK, or even a Temporal LUK boots that gives 30% crit damage + enchant, I also believe that you will need more CRIT rate on your mentioned set up as you are not using ODR combo.

 

Also, its skills era now, FAS/AS give you a lot more DPS in comparison of auto attack.

Edit : DEX & INT are required for your VCT part of skills casting.

That's a good point!

And, about investing in INT, I don't see necessity to invest so many point in it, because my Autumn Headband let the AS with insta cast, although there is still the FAS.
