Need some help with solo-ing MVP Amdarais H

 

I am level 183 WL with the following gears:

 

Head (top): +13 Spell Circuit (KK)

Head (Mid): Phantom ears

Head (low): Survivor Orb

Armor: +12 Celine (Sweet Nightmare)

Weapon: +12 Survivor DEX rod (clean)

Shield: +9 Valk Shield (Teddy Bear)

Garment: +12 Survivor Mantle (Raydric)

Shoes: +9 Survivor Shoes

Accessories: X2 Pazuzu ring (Elvira)

 

Any tips with other equips / cards to increase my damage to and reduc damage taken from MVP Amdarais H? Would the following be impactful:

 

Ancient Tree card (10% undead)

Excel Shield (Alice?)

Floating Ball

Abyss Dress over Celine? 

 

Which one of these will be most impactful?

 

I currently have 50% success rate in killing it. I think he is killing me with Hell Judgement? I am not even sure why sometime I win to be honest lol.

 

I am using CL spam and LoV but I notice my damage most not be good enough? Sometimes MVP Amdarais H heals a lot?

 

Any strategy on how to deal with it?

 

I already checked YT videos but the characters in it either have MVP cards or just not WLs....

How much damage are you dealing each cast? i usually kill it with oboro in like 10 sec maybe with around 3m damage per petal cast.

Always wear the abyss dress , it helps alot with the mvps dark skills

I think there is no card for weapon for wind magic , so ancient tree is good.

For shield i think excellion will give you more matk , since i think abyss dress will solve some of your problems

For middle gear , it depends how much matk or damage modifier you have. if you have high matk just keep the phantom , if its low maybe switch to floating balls?

I am not exactly sure how much damage each CL cast. I assume its 180K per hit and CL does 3 hits on a single target? So 500K per CL cast?

 

Ok so I should prioritize in getting a +9 Abyss Dress. So this should also increase my survivability again it too right? Giving up my Celine Dress will reduce my ACD by 15% and also my skill interruption so I will need something else to cover that (probably my Spellflow shadow set but that means I cannot use my WL weapon + Crimson shield set).

 

I just got an ancient tree card so I will try that and see how much the 10% difference will make.

 

I think my mATK is around 600? Haha I think i will need some time to save up for a floating ball if I should get the +9 Abyss Dress first.

amdarais is a boss monster, thus Alice card is the defactor best choice reduction wise if no non boss monsters are involved in the fight.
Also have you looked at what exactly he does that kills you? Cuz if you can nullify that attack then your dps doesnt matter since he cant kill you

Something that I have been curious about.

 

Terry Bear card - 30% reduc from undead (race)

 

Alice card - 40% reduc from boss type

 

So the difference is only 10% right? Or is the Alice card more reduc again Amdarais?

 

Like does the 20% undead reduc from Valk shield be useful here? Stackabe with Teddy bear?

 

I am not sure what he is using to kill me but its whenever he does berserk. I feel like its Hell Judgement but I thought my Safety Wall should protect me from that....

Valk shield offers reduction agains Undead Element attacks, not Undead Race enemies. Those are different modifiers. Unless he does an undead element attack, that part of valk shield does nothing for you there. 

And yes it is a 40% reduction card for a 30% one, which, since you don't have any other undead race reduction, will result in a 17% damage reduction over your current damage taken. (Since you will go from taking the remainig 70% of his damage to 60% of it).

Hell's Judgement can no longer be blocked by Safety Wall, but it is still useful for his autos and other melee skills.

Wow then I completely misinterpreted the use of a Valk Shield. So I guess is good for reduc against MVP that uses Water Ball?

 

So what shield do you recommend me to use against MVP Amdarais H. I will try to get an Alice card later.

 

Any other gears do you recommend for survivability against it? So does the Abyss Dress (Shadow) helps at all with survivability against it or mainly for the damage?

Just did the instance and solo-ed it.

 

I feel like I was getting killed by his Grand Darkness? So should shadow property armor help with it?

You could record your fight and look back at what's killing you. Also can look up on divine-pride and see most of the skills being used. Amdarais H mainly uses skills and rarely auto-attacks. Some painful ones are:

 

1.) Critical Slash: It likes to spam this often and sadly only ghost armor, energy coat reduce its damage. It ignores race, size, boss, ranged reductions. Equips that reduce Critical Slash damage have been broken for years...

2.) Jack Frost: Water skill you're familiar with. He says something like "Be Frozen" before casting it.

3.) Hell's Judgement: This has a long cast bar and can only be blocked by Safety Wall and other reductions at all ranges now.

4.) Dark Grand Cross: Can be avoided by standing diagonal from boss since his body covers it.

5.) Meteor Storm: Amdarais tends to summon invisible monsters that spam Meteor Storm. You can get a buff from one of the NPCs that spawn and hope it gives fire immunity, move away from adds, tank it, or kill it with Magic Mirror from equips like Mad Bunny Special.

 

Also, where is your MDEF bypass? Hope all this info helps

After I got a +9 Abyss Dress (combo with +12 Mad Bunny Special [Alice card] for skill interruption), I am able to solo it with consistency (no tokens used after 2 attempts). I assume I was getting killed by Dark Grand Cross before and the Abyss Dress reduces damage of this attack because it has Shadow element? I wasnt sure because I had effect turned off and all I see is my character taking damage and dies instantly lol.....

 

Thanks for the info on the Critical Slash, I notice it still does like 12K to me even with the Alice card compared to before. I might not need Alice card then since there the map spawns random mobs and does maggots almost killed me because if the Alice card.

Do you know if reduce damage taken from Critical Slash by 100% works for these equips:

•  Antonio's Coat refined to +9 or higher.
•  Gambler's Seal and  Heart Card in Mouth set effect.

 

The wiki said that its still not working as of Oct 6, 2021? I seem to have a good consistency in solo-ing it with both my WL and Gen but the critical slash is still a threat (like 18k damage to my Gen lol? Luckily I have 70K hp). I think it does less to my WL....like 13K?

I'm not sure if it's still bugged (it probably is) Wow they work now! Your warlock has Energy Coat to reduce the damage.

Bro just use intense and soul expansion my equips are +12 old headgear with me 5, +14 tsod spell 8, +9 abyss dress, +12 alice excelion shield, +12 faw with antique card, 2 pcs soul expansion ring with elvira, temporal int spell rm, mob set  im only lvl 175 and i can kill amdarais h  just put safety wall first around you then intense then spam soul expansion to kill it

I had a WL with

14 Celine, Mob, 15 Vicious 30 bypass boss 1x% ghost, 14 Flattery, 12 Temporal Int, Survivor M, Celine Brooch, Magician Glove

 

How do you handle the normal monster in Advanced Glast Heim? 

 

I cannot kill them by one Earth Strain and Chain Lightning. And the cast delay is too high and I need to wait. Without reading books and instant casting, how do you manage that?

Just for anyone who may be interested in this..

 

Solo Advanced GH, completed...

 

I just tried out and did it..

 

However, I use up a lot of Token, like 9, for Corruption Root. Its Mog is so hurt, especially with his strike. When the wall is gone, it will be a hard time.

 

For Amdarais, it is actually so easy.... with intense, it dies so quickly..

 

Just Celine with Ribbon, I don't have Type K yet. So I use brooch only. No Survivor things. I used mob, and Temp Int. 

 

The normal monsters are much more difficult than the boss. Just need to spend a whole lot of time to deal with, don't gather them together. ..
