Did iRO remove the auto casting of Genesis Ray when using Gloria Domini?

They nerf it to the point where it becomes impractical to use.

The original one auto cast with Pressure/GloriaDomini and has 25% delay reduction.

In my opinion , it is quite understandable to nerf the delay reduction from 25%to 10%.

But I really don’t understand why they removed the auto-cast ability in our server.

Even divine guard hat still has similar feature that allow autocast with tremendous HP regen from tuna belly.

It is does not make the Genesis Ray becomes broken or anything the damage potential still far from others item that already exist and the helm alone still does not allow the skill spam considering the HP cost from the skill.(In JRO they has another mechanism to regen the HP from the skill.

I really hope that they bring back the autocast ability or at least bring back the type J version.

If there's anything to nerf on this headgear, it would only be the auto HP gain, if there's any. Going forward, Genesis Ray will eventually be free from HP drain per cast.

 

I assume the point of nerfing cash shop gears is to prevent gears from in-game content suffer devaluation. There is no in-game item currently and in the future that will devaluate if Themis Helm has all its intended effects. The removal of the auto cast when using Gloria Domini is stupid.

You give Ranger 100 OCP gears from the last 10 OCP releases, a class that is already million times stronger than RG in PvM and you do this.

Joke on tbem, nerfing RG item wheb most people dont even play RG. So its irrelevant even if they nerf it to nothing. Like that cool hat hahaha

what are you talking about. Divine Guard Hat makes total sense now and before. it makes Genesis Ray actually useful albeit relatively weak, needs "cheat" to spam it fast and effectively small AOE. It's technically 11x11 but needs Holy Cross, which is a 1 cell target skill, to be useable.

The most effective of autospell ability of Justice Crown (Themis Helm) is not damage or delay cut, but it's "cast range increase".

Ray of Genesis cast range is only 1 cell but if it casting via autospell ability using Gloria Domini, it will be Gloria Domini's cast range instead. (fyi, autospell proc rate on original JRO one is around 50%, which is quite a lot)

This nerf is might be preventing something like Enforcer Shoes happening again.

Even if you could use GD's cast range to do RoG, its nowhere near broken or even come close to GX, Ranger or even Gen. Actually might even do less DPS than WL or RK, given same zeny investment.

Even without nerfing the Themis Helm, there is still this Gen Ray cool down which is 5 secs.  iRO staff could have maintained that fun part of autocasting GR when casting Gloria Domini. This nerfed Themis helm made it less valuable than Divine Guard Hat, and to think that it has a very low chance of getting from the OCP.

Fix the Themis Helm iRo. Why would you nerf an item for one of the consistently weaker classes? Even if we suddenly got every single job improvement for RG all at once, it would STILL be weaker than GX as it is right now.

that change is from the parch pre-4jobs...  i doubt the argument "the skill in iro will be self casted in 5 years" be useful to justify the Themis Helm's un-nerf....

The nerf on it preventing another Enforcer Shoes - Meteor Assault is false as the rework on the skill only involves a small increase in damage, self cast and removal of HP loss. it's not like Genesis Ray becomes casted on ground 9 cells away like Dragon Breath.

 

You missed the point. Genesis Ray becomes self cast instead of 1 cell cast on ground. it's still 11x11 around the user so even if you auto cast it with Gloria Domini which i think is 7 cells away from target, you are still locked to Genesis Ray AOE range.

 

The auto cast is useful though that's why people are requesting it back cause it enables you to cast Genesis Ray and utilize its 11x11 AOE range which is 5 cells away from target as opposed to 1 cell from Holy Cross via Divine Guard Hat. if you've played the Genesis Ray build you would have known this but looks like you don't. Genesis Ray right now is only useful with Divine Guard Hat with Holy Cross and its effectively a 1 cell target skill which is really annoying. I was a GR build before but this mechanic singlehandedly made me switch back to a different build.

You know as well as we do that they wont change back. Otherwise thats a domino effect and so mang new items to be cried on. Crying = Un-nerf hahaha

Just dont play RG. Wait, you already did that and switched to GX and Ranger. Good for you, ood for me because i love cheap PvM loots, and bad for iRO. You were like the last person who used to regularly made PvM RG videos.

Feel bad because they hate WoE RGs, so PvM RGs get the hatred too -_-

thinking any change happens to any item being for "balance reasons" is beyond naive. Specially when you've seen how things went down through the years. The last actual balance change applied to any gear was KOSC limiting the upgrade bonus up to +10, which was then very justified. Dont expect anything to change for balance reasons again unless it skirts very close to being the same case again(which would be the Thanatos set headgear, that could give 1k+ atk if non limited)

My RG's Genesis Ray reaches around 900k and can send down 4-5 Gloria Dominis a second dealing 240k each. If iRO did allow it i speculate it would deal 4-5m a second. (8-10m on shadow/undead maybe?) Far cry from GX but maybe a bit better than Pazuzu WL?

Personally, I was really looking forward for this item for the reason that it would bypass the hit needed when using holy cross.

 

But of course, Gloria Domini has VCT, FCT and delay, this put the limit and without "High-end gear" the skill cannot be spammed as frequent as Holy Cross.

 

This should eliminate the concern of bringing another broken gear into the sever.
