New to the game here, i read that the Greed skill is only for Black/Master smiths. 

Got me thinking, does the Mechanic not have this skill then?

Once you acquire the skill as a Blacksmith, you can keep using it as a Mechanic.

 

Also Greed is widely used by other classes as far as you have a gear/equip that grant you the skill.
