Event Overview:
For characters level 60+, you can talk to Dimensional Overlord Va (rmundt) at North Prontera (prontera 157, 303) to get warped to a map that represents a small subsection of one of three towns: Prontera, Rachel, or Lighthalzen. There are 4 stones that need to be healed to full health (last I checked it required like ~20 million healing), which will be indicated by a glowing green aura around the stone. Healing classes can heal the stones directly, but the stones will also naturally heal over time (~100k every 10 seconds). Monsters will spawn around these stones to inhibit the healing, so DPS classes can assist by killing the mobs to allow healing to go through. Once all 4 stones are fully healed, Varmundt will appear in the center where you warped in and award you with 10 Cupet Coins. He'll stay around for 5 minutes, so you can switch to other characters to redeem even more Cupet Coins per day.

Speedrunning the Event:
First off, a bit of history. Last year was a year of great innovations in solving the Crack of Dimension event. The significantly increased difficulty of mobs and loss of target cast Renovatio made the event a nightmare to complete, until someone had a genius idea:

The goal of the event was to heal the guardian stones to full health, and the Frenzy status effect does just that. Since Shadow Chaser's skill Bloody Lust inflicts Frenzy, we could just cast Bloody Lust under the stones to fully heal them instantly. Thus the event simply became a matter of casting Bloody Lust 4 times.

Now the problem is that Bloody Lust has a cooldown of 3 minutes, meaning that it'd take one SC 9 minutes to complete the event on their own, assuming they started with it off cooldown. The answer? More SCs

2 SCs can get the event done in 3 minutes, and 4 SCs can finish it immediately. Thus, the goal of the event ends up being to get 4 Shadow Chasers to job level 6 so they can learn level 1 Bloody Lust.

Strategy:
Completing the event itself can be a bit challenging since the mobs can be pretty rough to deal with, so I'll share a few tips that helped get me through the event.

  • Know the stone locations. Rachel in particular is really weird since there's a portal you have to take to get to the last stone. The following are the maps and stone locations for Lighthalzen, Prontera, and Rachel respectively:

  • Only 3 of the stones spawn mobs. I've marked the one stone that doesn't spawn mobs in green. This stone should be your last priority to heal.
EDIT: Rachel seems to spawn mobs at all 4 locations this year
  • The map changes daily at 4AM Pacific Time.
  • Don't forget to stock up on Surface Paint cans. Each Bloody Lust cast uses up 2 cans.
  • Bloody Lust has 2s VCT and 1s FCT. Temporal Dex Boots or +9 Noblesse Attack/Magic Boots are great ways to speed things up. Don't forget to secure some uninterruptible cast.
  • Mobs spawn every 10 seconds until they hit the spawn limit for the stone. This 10 second timer is also used to check when the stone has been fully healed, so sometimes it can take a while after your Bloody Lust cast for the stones to appear healed.

If they forget to remove the event again this year I'll also release the secret daylight savings tech
