I was playing iRO using the steam version previously with some work arounds to get it to run but still had occasional crashes.

 

Trying to eliminate these crashes I figured I just download the iRO client right from the Ragnarok site thinking it would work better.

 

I install and let it patch, and everything looks good until the latest patch starts and then the whole loader crashes with no error message.

 

I try to load the launcher again and I get a weird EAC error "Unrecognized Game Client. Cannot continue" as well as "Unknown File version: ragexe.exe"

I am running win 11 but ran clean installs and allowed patches to run in every compatibility mode (xp, 7, 8) and all as administrator.

 

I also uninstalled EAC for the game before and after each time to see if it would work, but with no luck.

 

Please help me get iRO working again. I really want to play to get the daily login items as well as work my 131 up to 200 to get the 4th class.

This popped up a few times since the latest maintenance and I saw some players had posted a solution in this topic, so please try those steps.

If that doesn't work then you'll likely will want to contact the GM team by writing a ticket at the support page to get more advice on that error.
