Hey!

tldr: is EU back on iRO for good? Please answer before we invest our time.

So, It is that time of the year when Ragnarok feelings are stronger than ever, so i decided to randomly download iRO and check "if it works". To my surprise website - worked, account - worked, creating new game acc - worked, downloading - worked, and finally logging into the iRO from central EU - Worked

It made me so happy and sad at the same time, so I began to search for some official info - is EU back on iRO for good? Can i invest my time into the game and not worry about being kicked out in week or two? Or maybe it is just someones overlook/mistake while uploading new patch with 4th classes?

Can someone from staff clarify and give us official answer - can EU based players actually play on iRO without having to worry we will be kicked out when someone notice?

Best!

The rules surrounding GDPR are very strict and it's more likely a network rule misconfiguration. Or, they really did meet GDPR compliance. Anyhow, better safe than sorry and open up a ticket to make sure.

Looks like WarpPortal sneaked this in quietly in an attempt to boost player counts, but your request for answers have caused a handful of EU accounts to get blocked ETA very soon.

that's a pretty risky gamble to boost player counts especially with GDPR fines as high as they are. That juice is definitely not worth the squeeze.

My recollection of when the EU ban went into place was that Warpportal didn't have a policy in place on the date when GDPR went into effect so they just removed access to the accounts which made them compliant with the new law. They do seem to have a policy for European users now so maybe that's why the restrictions were removed?

Anyway if anyone hears something official from the GMs please share it here!

Interesting I think.  I do like they can access their accounts again. The EU accounts would be so far behind though. Would it be worth coming back? Man i remember they gave the option to EU account holders to give away their god items and stuff. Such a fiasco.

I did not say it was WP's fault. I am saying if people from EU come back they are really far behind. So I question if it is worth for a person who has an EU account to play again. I think the max level was 150 at the time? While they may still have some gears, I do not know what was tier whatever back then. Since booster gears are character bound you cant even take the 150 and semi gear it right? I am just thinking of the pros and cons and wonder if it is worth it all at with the current state of the game.
