Hi. I'm a returning player and wanna know about an Adoramus build for ABs. Please share your status, skill tree and gears!

Haven't seriously played Ado AB much, but I've done a bit of investigation in the past and have talked to a few people. Off the top of my head this is my understanding of things (I might be forgetting a few things):

 

Core:

• Arch Bishop Stone (Garment) + High Priest Stone (Middle)
• Arch Bishop Shield Shadow + Arch Bishop Weapon Shadow

Both give -1s CD on Adoramus, leaving it at 0.5s CD down from 2.5s

 

FCT reduction:

• Amistr Beret
• Arch Bishop Stone (Garment) + High Priest Stone (Lower)
• One of the many boots options that reduce FCT

Gemstones:

• Sacred Crown
• Victory Wing Ear (the AB version, not the ACD version)
• Mistress Card
• Just carrying thousands of Blue Gemstones. They only weigh 0.1 now.

 

Everything Else:

Middle/Lower:

• Sunglasses + Mob Scarf
• Floating Ball
• Kardui Ear
• Fortunetelling Sealed
• Old Camouflage Scarf/Tyrant of Earth
• New Wave Sunglasses + Ghost Fire

Armor:

• Armor of White Thread
• Automatic Armor Type B with MATK/Shadow Spell/Magnasmus
• Illusion Armor Type B with MATK
• Soutane of intelligence w/ Blessing of Intelligence/Blue Dragon Armor
• Abyss/Nature/Samael/Icefall Dress

Weapon:

• Deus Ex Machina
• Holy Stick
• Awakened Saint Hall
• Rubber Hammer

Weapon Card:

• Wizard of Veritas (with Fairy of Eden)
• True Margaretha Sorin
• Heart Hunter Sanare (with Magic-poisoned Sanare and Papila Ruba)

Shield:

• Excelion Shield
• Mad Bunny Special

Garment:

• Fairy of Eden
• Skin of Typhon

Garment Card:

• Yellow Pitaya

• Moaning of Evil Spirits

Great list. I am going to test out the Wizard of Veritas/Fairy of Eden combo!

 

I would throw in Temporal Int Manteau (Hard to find) and Guardian Soul in the list for garments as well

In hopes that someone checks these forums occasionally, I have a couple Qs for those more skilled with RO maths:

 

I recently rolled some Moaning of Evil Spirits (and got it +10) and was curious if it was worth changing my equips around for since a card slot for Papila Ruba/Boiling Marc, +30% MATK, and 100% Bypass sound nice. However, it feels like I would lose a lot of Ado damage from Holy Stick/Punishment Shoes and my Shadows give around 70% Bypass already. It will buff up my ME for sure, but is that important in the end? I would also switch out the Holy Stick for Deus Ex Machina which will help regain Ado damage with more TMS Cards (or TMS+HHS+WoV Cards maybe?)... but not quite there yet in terms of funding yet.

 

Currently, I am running this for my AB Build:

• +11 Sacred Crown
• Sunglasses [Carded as needed]
• Mob Scarf
• Abyss/Nature/Samael/Icefall Dress
• +11 Holy Stick [True Margaretha Sorin]
• +12 Excelion Shield
• +11 Fairy of Eden [Yellow Pitaya]
• +7 Shoes of Punishment
• Ring of Adoramus [Headless Mule] x2
  • +9 Adoramus Shadow Set
  • +9 Archbishop Shadow Shield
  • +9 Priest Shadow Armor+Shoes

 

Some additional questions:

1. Is there a point where switching out the Mob Scarf combo with, say, Kardui Ears + Fortunetelling Sealed (with 120 INT and DEX) be more beneficial?
2. Is Archbishop Shadow Weapon+Shield for -1 second cooldown better than the bonus damage and Bypass of Adoramus Shadow Weapon+Archbishop Shield? (Obviously this is moot if I go with Moaning of Evil Spirits shoes)
3. Is Magic-Poisoned Sanare Card better than Headless Mule for my current equips without the card set? I feel like +20% Adoramus damage vs. +40% Holy Damage is worse due to diminishing returns on all my current Ado damage, but not sure how the math works exactly so just wanted to check. Obviously, if I go with the card set I would assume x2 M-PS Cards are better than 1 and HM Card, right?
4. Is it worth buying Automatic Armor Type B (with enchants) if I have all the Dresses? Would AA Type B make the new Moaning Set I am considering better since it adds more MATK to be affected by its +30% bonus?
5. Is Wizard of Veritas Card worth the +40 INT compared to a 2nd True Margaretha Sorin Card (+60% damage) for my Ado build?

Since it's been a hot minute from when I posted these questions, I've learned a lot from playing AB > Cardinal and thought I'd post some answers and current best gear for those who may still lurk the forums for answers these days!

 

Some additional questions:

1. While Mob Scarf is solid at +360 MATK and -9% VCT, Kardui + Fortunetelling Sealed (or preferably Old Camo Scarf/Tyrant of Earth) will easily outclass it as you get higher in level. I learned that Fortunetelling Sealed is bugged and stops increasing after 100 INT/DEX so it would cap out at 16% damage, while Old Camo/Tyrant continues to scale upwards. Additionally, obviously Floating Ball would be a better mid-headgear but considering its rarity/cost, I didn't know about it at the time of posting lol.
2. Yes. You will need these with the AB Costume Stones for no CD.
3. Go with 2x True Margaretha Cards (3x if using Deus Ex) and avoid the 17.2 card set as Headless Mule is better damage than the accessory cards as well.
4. Now that Amazing Grace is out, that is the current endgame armor. However, AA Type B [Enchanted] and the Dresses have their place considering the price of Amazing Grace lol.
5. Unless cast times are an issue for you, 2x or 3x True Marg is ultimately better for Ado build. I haven't tried it myself, but the new Dual Shadow World Cloak + Antique Book Card might be the new better garment anyway. 

 

Current best in slot (that I know of, minimum required refine, no MVP Cards) as of 1/30/24:

• +10 Sacred Crown
• Floating Ball
• Old Camo Scarf/Tyrant of Earth
• +10 Amazing Grace [Sweet Nightmare/Agav/Elemental if needed]
• +10 Deus Ex Machina [3x True Margaretha Sorin]
• +12 Excelion Shield OR +8 Symbol of Eden (preferable high refine) [Multiple card options]
• +11 Dual Shadow World Cloak [Antique Book] OR +11 Fairy of Eden [Yellow Pitaya]
• +9 Moaning of Evil Spirits [Boiling Marc]
• Ring of Adoramus [Headless Mule] x2
  • +10 Arch Bishop Shadow Weapon + Shield
  • +10 Priest Shadow Armor (in case I pop a ME, but I'm sure ther emust be something better?)
  • +10 Judex Shadow Shoes
  • +10 Adoramus Shadow Earring + Pendant
  • Arch Bishop Stone (Garment) + Arch Bishop Stone (Upper/Lower) + High Priest Stone (Middle)

Pretty much sure that "Mutating White Knight Card" beter than "True Margaretha Sorin". You already have 360%+ ado damage from 2x rings + Amazing Grace + Sacred Crown alone. White Kinight techincaly gives you 90% ado damage while Margaretha only 60%.

More thant that it boost all source of damage like Judex and Flamen. And i don't think that small mosnters are big problem, most relevant enemies aren't small.

Yep! Can confirm this is the case. Also Holy Frus in place of a TMS increases damage nicely as another option (but MWK still would add more benefits with MKK in shield).

 

I might update this a little bit in the future (since OCPs are dropping so fast nowadays) but haven't been online much recently!
