I've tried reinstalling this game several times since it stopped working after the recent update and each time it closes the patcher partway through, then I get several errors afterwards when starting the game.  I've tried both downloading it from the official site and through Steam but neither work for me.  Is there any fix to this?  It doesn't even try to patch anymore and just gives the option to 'start' and such.

Try downloading the games' files and patching up again and see if it works. But whatever you do, don't reinstall the game with official launcher.

 yeah because we are just gonna trust someone from not vendor site. 

Here is a better idea... they stop corrupting patches and do the right thing and get off their bums and get the downloader/patcher system fixed.
