Looks very complicated doesn't it?  Not really, as it is just a the concept of applying limitations to things like weapon boxes, and item drops.  It would create a desire to fight monsters in the players for these items instead of just getting a cheap knock off from a box.

 

Concept is this: "Item Displacement and Differentiation."

 

Apply certain aspects to gear that are found through item consumables that produce gear.  I wouldn't remove enchantments but, maybe slotting or refinement limitations.  Lets create some more initiative to fight monsters aside from getting your overpowered gear and crushing all points of play out of a box.  Limit the use of gear produced items.  And add an exclusive capability to monster generated gears.  Or both if that's your cup of tea?

 

I wouldn't apply this notion to payed gear so much though as an incentive for play.  I've noticed ingame that there is several options similar to this but, leaves me thinking there might be something missing.

 

This should be read and thought of as a good balancing act of item revision.
