Now that Illusion gear generally drops from their respective illusion dungeons and if I'm not mistaken eventually in a future update those dropped items will drop pre enchanted, sometimes with even more enchants than can be done by enchanting them via the NPC, crafting the illusion gear as is is just not worth the resources required. I don't know how many people seek out illusion gear but I believe it would be helpful to those that do want them and more rewarding for those that go through the effort of crafting them if the the items obtained via crafting are given to the player as a +9 item instead of reset back to +0.
