Alot of people bypass the patcher and use RRE.EXE to start their game.
If the Event Games are not working on your client do the following:

1. Close your game
2. Start the patcher (normal one or GenPatch)
3. The Patcher will now patch the newest patch (v.322)
4. Close the patcher
5. Start up your game again using RRE.EXE

The reason why the Winter Games were not working is because using RRE.EXE bypasses the patcher thus not giving the game the chance get the newest patch. Alot of people were still using v.320.
