Ranger > Wind Hawk is one of my favorite classes to play and, since I see many questions from new players in the Discord on builds/gears to aim for, I thought I’d accumulate as much knowledge as I can in a single source. I hope to keep this updated as much as possible since the wiki pages on this class are woefully out-of-date. I don’t intend to go as in depth as Nagaame’s amazing (but outdated) “Wind Hawk Writeup” thread but maybe I'm getting there lol, however I figured I could do my part to continue on his legacy in some small way, haha. Please read through their guide for anything that isn’t present here and note that I take huge inspiration from their guide in many ways. I also referenced a lot of Cloudseeker's YT videos in my research, so shout out to him as well!

My focus here is to highlight the available and viable builds for Rangers and Wind Hawks with stats, gear with budget considerations, and skill tree recommendations when applicable to tackle both general leveling and endgame content. I’ll add in my own personal insight and experiences as flavor text to help guide those that are lost or can’t make up their mind.

Once you’ve spammed through Archer > Hunter > Sniper with “Arrow Shower” (my preferred way, but not the only way), or changing to "Focused Arrow Strike" as a Sniper, and passed the somewhat annoying Ranger Job Change (SKIP now available!), you have 2 primary ways to level until becoming a 200 Wind Hawk: “Focused Arrows Strike” (FAS) and “Arrow Storm” (AS). While most people will be drawn in to the new Ranger skill and it’s large AOE, there are too many downsides to “Arrow Storm” for a new player that we will get into later, so I strongly recommend sticking with FAS from Sniper or Ranger or even to max level Wind Hawk. Once you change into a Wind Hawk though, you have a new skill open to you: "Gale Storm", which got a rebalance to be incredibly strong to make it a very viable leveling skill from 200+, especially if you have means to reduce its pre- and post-cast times. Endgame, you can use Crescive Bolt or "Hawk Rush" for MVPs and Gale Storm/FAS for leveling and going hybrid is quite doable for this class as all its worthwhile skills are Crit-based.

Your budget will be the deciding factor, as it is with any class, but Ranger is fairly newbie friendly due to how strong FAS is for cheap. Outside of the f2p armor sets, there are also several cheap options that we’ll discuss pros and cons to for all skill builds. But trust me on this: hitting enough damage (more than what's needed for leveling to 260) is a very achievable goal, even for new players, if going with a FAS build and you can hit damage cap even using non-BIS gear; pretty nice for a Transcendent Class Skill! What's even better is that if you do want to try GS at 200+, you don't need major changes to your gear to still be viable.

SPECIAL NOTE: Using the self-buff skill, "No Limits" is imperative to leveling effective from 100-200 (and beyond depending on build), especially if you are just starting out/have a low gear budget. It gives you a +350% Ranged Damage modifier for 150 seconds, often separating being able to one-shot monsters or not. The issue is that it has a 300 second Cool Down (CD), meaning there over 2 minutes where you can't use it... unless you have specific items. There are a few ways to lower its CD (we need at least 150 seconds for 100% upkeep), so the most used ways are the following items. It's not a requirement to get these first, but it may make your leveling much simpler:

  • Wolf Officer Hat: This is a must-have headgear that you will carry with you beyond 200 for the "No Limits" CD alone. Essentially, you will swap to this hat > cast No Limits > swap to main headgear > be 350% more powerful with zero downtime! Due to its other solid bonuses (such as +25% property damage, +3 DEX per refine, and -30% ACD), this can easily be used as a primary headgear from 100-170 to keep "No Limits" up as you grind before switching to the swap-out method with better headgear options.

  • Prism Ranger Scarf: Gives an alright 30% Ranged damage modifier, but reduces "No Limits" CD by 180 seconds as long as it stays equipped (which means you can't gear-swap like WolfOfficer). If you can’t find/afford WolfOfficer, then you will want this for leveling the early levels. No card slot is no fun though.

  • Document ArcherDreaming Red Sheep: While DocArcher is a great grab either way, DreamingRedSheep might not be worth the spend. However, if you wear both of the pieces of equipment, your "No Limts" CS is reduced by 150 seconds which is all you need for 100% upkeep. Both offer separate CD reduction on their own as well, but not enough for 0 downtime.

---

I will list ‘best’ gear in descending order and ORANGE font what I find to be Best In Slot (BIS), but opinions may vary.

I won’t list ridiculously rare stuff or MVP Cards as options, outside of mentioning combos, but do note that I do own and use them in my BIS screenshots.

This should be your bread-and-butter build from Sniper/Ranger onwards, usable even until 260 Wind Hawk if desired (and geared properly). It is one of the strongest leveling skill for the class (maybe the strongest Transcendent Class Skill in the game?) and the easiest/cheapest to build for if you are just starting out. It has negligible Cool Down (CD), Variable Casting Time (VCT) is a non-issue through higher stats and/or current gears (like Document Archer), Fixed Casting Time (FCT) is handled easily, and even for free, these days with gear, and a manageable After Cast Delay (ACD). The biggest complaint I hear about FAS is “the AOE is too small” and “I want to use new class skills” – while valid… the crazy high DPS:price ratio and damage potential, it being a Crit-based skill (means no Hit worries), current gear support, and ease-of-use will make it all worth it. Previously, you could grind to max level on a budget of under 2b, but with a recent update to buff monsters in 200+ areas, you may need to consider better gear or switching builds once Wind Hawk, but damage cap is still very achievable with the skill.

As noted, you can have a decent FAS build from 100-200 for very little budget compared to most builds and the Main Questline gives you free gear every 20ish levels until 210 that boosts FAS. Checkout the “Noblesse Sharp Suit”, for an idea of what the free sets offer, and this questline can be started as a Level 100 Ranger in “The Royal Banquet”. Other pieces, like Illusion Hunter Bow+Sparkling Stick and Ring of Silver Claw, are very cheap in today’s iRO market too and allow for solid leveling for little money while even the powerful Document Archer is an achievable cost to save up for in the early stages. The name of the game for this guide is to eliminate the 0.5s of FCT and VCT first, then boost Crit Rate high enough to critical hit consistently, and then focus on upping damage, damage, damage!

SKILL NOTES: 5x5 AOE, 11 Cell Range, 0.5s FCT, 0.5s VCT, 0.15s CD, 0.5s ACD, has a chance to Critical Hit and grants a bonus 1.5x Crit Rate just for this skill when used, consumes 1 Arrow, sometimes mistranslated as [Sharpshooting] on iRO.

*Note that this is with a Level 200 Ranger so more damage is possible with POW+CON as Wind Hawk*

While there is more potential for this build with new broken gear, I don't intend to waste resources on a dead build.

An iconic build for Rangers that I used to hit the 175 cap years ago. However, as alluring as that large AOE is, this build is a trap for new Rangers to use as its damage ceiling is very low for the amount of money you need to put into it and the 3.2s CD is a huge blocker to fun gameplay and smooth DPS. You can't even remove some of said CD until Base Level 130 and you can't reduce it all until Base Level 170; even then you need to deal with an annoying RNG enchant system for a specific 3% option that can cost upwards of 100m (my recent enchant attempts took ~80m). To use it effectively, you get trapped with specific gear combos that are mediocre at best and it is basically required to make +14 Grade A armor to be viable in the 200+ dungeons. On top of that, it is not cheap/easy to get 100% DEF Penetration AND have full CD reduction. Can you get to 250 with it? Sure, with a big budget. Otherwise the cracks will start to appear as you level your Ranger, especially 150+, if you don't have a lot of zeny... It doesn’t even have a free-2-play gearset option from the Main Questline. On top of all that, it has no Crit capabilities meaning it can miss high FLEE MVPs using AGI UP if not adding in enough P.HIT. I’m not usually one to yuck someone’s yum, but stay away from this build unless you have disposable income and don't mind clunky leveling until 130 or 170+.

That being said, I’ll do my best to explain how to make the most of this build if you insist on sticking with it! BIS choices will be a little different here since so much depends headgear/weapon/accessory combos to lower that ridiculous skill CD, but let’s see how it goes. The name of the game is to reduce as much CD+VCT as possible for a more spammable AS (which = more DPS) and find a viable/affordable way to get 100% DEF Penetration.

SKILL NOTES: 9x9 AOE, 20 Cell Range, 0.3s FCT, 2s VCT, 3.2s CD, consumes 5 Arrows, damage is increased while under the self-buff skill: "Fear Breeze".

While there is more potential for this build with new broken gear, I don't intend to waste resources on a dead build.

To be fair, this build's guide will be primarily theory crafting/raw testing as I was not strong enough to use this build back when it was strong enough to be considered using. With Wind Hawk's "Crescive Bolt" skill being just a better version of this in every way, I only see Aimed Bolt (AB) mentioned in hybrid with "Arrow Storm" or auto-attack builds rather than a skill to be used on its own. Still, I think its always worth exploring builds of your favorite class even if just for historical learning purposes and to see if it can reach high DPS potential in proper conditions. While it used to have a daunting Fixed Cast Time (FCT) and Cool Down (CD), these are more readily handled in the current gear landscape. I'd say the biggest hurdle will be the wild 2s of After Cast Delay (ACD) to contend with, needing over 90% reduction for smooth spammability. On top of that, it is a Single Target Skill (so it's not viable for leveling) and it has no Crit capabilities, meaning it can miss high FLEE MVPs using AGI UP if not adding in enough P.HIT. I would recommend only veterans and people looking to try out forgotten builds aim to make this their primary skill. However, if you like to go against the grain, you might be able to make a decent AB build for very little budget compared to other builds as the Main Questline gives you free gear every 20ish levels that boosts AB. Checkout the “Noblesse Aim Suit”, for an idea of what the free sets offer, and this questline can be started as a Level 100 Ranger in “The Royal Banquet

All that being said, I’ll do my best to explain how to make the most of this build if you insist on sticking with it! So you made it to 4th Class, did you? Congrats!

With the addition of Talent Points, your damage will start bumping up significantly and you have some very strong options for builds to choose from. The recent Skill Rebalance hugely boosted the Wind Hawk skills, giving strong options to try out without requiring huge gear changes or any Stat changes (unless using non-Crit skills before), making it a pretty seamless transition.

-------------------------------------------------------

Jefuu-Crescive-Bolt-AP.png

jef-cb.png

Currently, Crescive Bolt (CB) is one of the strongest single-target skill in the Wind Hawk’s arsenal that is able to easily hit the damage cap of 2147M, and this is even more obtainable after the skill rebalance patch. It is a hard-hitting skill that Critical Hits, has manageable pre- & post-casting delays, can buff itself (x1.3) with multiple casts, and gets stronger with the Wind Hawk exclusive buff: “Calamity Gale”. The primary downside is that it’s a single-target attack meaning that, unless you want carpal tunnel, this will not be used for leveling. Also, the rebalance has upped ACD to 0.7s and its CD to 0.35 (which is currently irreducible). This new CD is very noticeable and makes spamming CB a lot less fun than it used to be. This skill synergizes nicely with the FAS and/or GS, so using one of those to level and this to MVP or clean up mobs is a very viable hybrid build – if using FAS, you would just lose some damage from one or the other since they prioritize different Talent Points after getting 100 POW.

Right now, due to the new higher CD and the introduction to the easily obtained Poenitentia Ring (Wind Hawk), at 230+ you can maximize your DPS by spamming "Aimed Bolt" due to the Ring's 40% chance to proc CB when equipped with the Poenitentia Nervus bow. As long as you can hit the pre- and post-cast delays for that skill (Poenitentia Nervus and/or Ancient Ranger Boots can help), keep your gear focused on CB so that the high proc chance allows you to get more damage spammed than using CB alone. The downside is that AB does not crit, so hopefully your DEX/CON will carry you through. Cloudseeker has a video on what this build variant looks like here.

The biggest hurdle for a newer player is its 1s Fixed Casting Time (FCT) as free/cheap gear will only tackle half of that typically, but nowadays there are lots of gear that reduces FCT if you have at least little budget. Another issue could be the need for a higher Crit Rate than FAS to ensure your arrows actually crit. Either way, this can be a solid endgame build once you’ve hit max level and want to maximize your DPS against Instance Bosses and MVPs, assuming the CD doesn't bother you. The name of the game with this build is removing the FCT, VCT, ACD, adding enough Crit, and then focusing on damage.

BUILD VARIANTS

CB = Manual Cast Crescive Bolt

APCB = Auto-Proc Crescive Bolt (from Aimed Bolt)

SKILL NOTES: Single Target, 11 Cell Range, 1s FCT, 0.8s VCT, 0.35 CD, 0.7s ACD, consumes 1 Arrow, has a chance to Critical Hit, each use of this skill creates a "Stack" (up to 3) that increase damage per Stack but these can be cancelled if the player moves/is pushed or does not cast CB again for over 10s, generates 1 AP per Stack (up to 3 per hit).

Jefuu-Gale-Storm.png

With the 2025 Mass Skill Rebalance update, this is going to be your absolute go-to for leveling post 200. Not only did it get an huge damage buff -- from 2500% to 10,000% and increased weight of CON in its formula -- its cooldown was reduced to 1.2s and its buffing skill, "Calamity Gale" (CG), also got a rework to allow for 100% upkeep (meaning you no longer need to consider anything but crit-gear for the build). This means Wind Hawks now have a big AOE skill that crits and is fully spammable with certain gear reductions! It's very easy to hit the required damage for 1-shotting all leveling areas with this skill now, and even hitting the 2147M damage cap is achievable with good equipment. With CG having 100% upkeep with no additional gear now (like Wolf Officer for "No Limits"), you just need to make sure to gain 200 AP in 180 seconds for maximum DPS. Your Crit gear from FAS as Ranger also synergizes nicely here, making transitioning quite painless. You are locked to 2 specific gear combos if you want to remove the CD to spam the skill, but a 1.2s CD with FAS to fill the gaps is also a workable solution for leveling if you can't afford them.

It sounds limiting, but the way to maximize DPS with this skill is to use either the Moonflower Bow+Moon God Lapel or the Angel Wing Bow+Ring of Good (Windhawk) combo, as they are the only means in the game to reduce the 1.2s CD to 0s. This isn’t a terrible thing, however, as both yield some solid benefits while only locking down 2 gear slots (unlike its predecessor, "Arrow Storm"), but AngelWing combo does require Base Level 215. Depending on the market, prices of these items could be the main hurdle for lower budget players. At these higher levels, and with a little budget, the VCT+FCT+ACD requirements are easily circumvented so we can really focus on increasing damage. GS can be your main leveling tool (or in tandem with FAS during the CD). While you could build for a non-crit GS build with a focus on Perfect Hit should you find CG be too annoying to cast every 3 minutes, this guide will focus on its Crit version as it is superior in every way.

SKILL NOTES: 9x9 AOE, 15 Cell Range, 0.5s FCT, 1s VCT, 1.2s CD, 0.15s ACD, consumes 5 Arrows, generates 10 AP if skill hits 3 targets or more, can Critical Hit if under the self-buff skill: “Calamity Gale”.

Jefuu-Hawk-Rush-AA-AP.png

jef-hr.png

As a stand alone skill, "Hawk Rush" (HR) is a very powerful (if not THE most powerful) single target skill in the Wind Hawk's arsenal... at least with the proper gear. I say this because at first glance, the skill's damage modifier is only 2500% vs CB's 9400% for instance. However, equipped with the Alpha Beast Armor and having points in all the listed skills from it, that modifier shoots up by huge amounts and allows it to easily compete with other skills. On top of that, the skill crits and has literally 0 VCT/FCT/ACD requirements with only 0.15s of irreducible CD to worry about, which alone can allow HR to out-DPS CB's natural 0.35s of CD. Also somewhat excitingly, the strength of this skill allows for an Auto-Attack variant to the build that is debatably its strongest form as well as a Skill-Proc variant that synergizes very well with CB gear mentioned in that section!

It is not recommended to run this build without the Alpha Beast Armor.

I have not played an Auto-Attack build since the Level 175 Cap patch when Crit-Locking was still cool. However, after a conversation with KumaoBear on the forums, and with Cloudseeker after some new gear releases, I was enlightened to how powerful it could be. Plenty of new stuff has released since pre-Wind Hawk days so I wanted to play around with this build myself and test how useable/viable it is. Since Hawk Rush is both a standalone skill and something that has a chance of proc'ing with normal attacks -- its chance improves with CON and the "Nature's Friend" skill -- or with "Aimed Bolt" -- using the PoeniRing accessory -- it has a lot of options for gameplay. I will be primarily focusing on it as a used Skill (since that is a more stable DPS) but will make note of circumstances that affect "Auto-Attack Hawk Rush" (AAHR) and "Auto-Proc Hawk Rush" (APHR) too as those variants may have more DPS potential.

The Pros are ease of use (especially for AAHR for its brain-dead gameplay, if that's a Pro to you), relatively easy to gear for due to almost no pre/post-cast delay reductions needed, the skill can Critical Hit while costing 0 arrows (if manually used), and getting to see big numbers go brrrrrrrrr with AAHR, have having more fun shenanigans with more skills to auto-proc (with APHR variant). The Cons are that its a single target skill, it uses a crap-ton of arrows (if going AAHR route), leeching HP/SP could be a pain with the AAHR build, being locked into 1 Armor, and the Hawk is a forced neutral element.

Auto-Attack builds were a top tier build back in the day so I would love to see this find its way back into the mainstream meta! Where my Blitz Beat Boyz at?? That being said, there is really only 1 piece of required gear for AAHR (see Armor section) or 2 pieces for APHR, so it's all about hitting max ASPD, getting as much CON as you can, and then pumping up all the damage you can find.

BUILD VARIANTS

HR = Manual Cast Hawk Rush

AAHR = Auto-Attack Hawk Rush (from regular physical attacks)

APHR = Auto-Proc Hawk Rush (from Aimed Bolt)

SKILL NOTES: Single Target, 15 Cell Range, 0s FCT, 0s VCT, 0.15s CD, 0s ACD, consumes 0 Arrows (when manually cast), has a chance to Critical Hit, has a change to be auto-cast while auto-attacking based on CON and the skill level of "Nature's Friend", damage is increased by 10% per the skill level of "Nature's Friend".

*This part of the guide is a WIP while I test*

The Trapper build used to only be viable for getting your Hunter to 99, but I am curious to see what sort of power you could get out of traps as a 4th Class Wind Hawk with the release of Underworld Knife, its combo Ring, and the Trapper Follower Shield (if I ever get around to it).

SKILL TREE RECOMMENDATION

For the majority of builds, the Wind Hawk path has a pretty straight forward, set in stone Skill Tree progression due to Traps being pretty useless and not having a ton of other skills to debate on.

Below is what my builds used for "Focused Arrow Strike" > "Arrow Storm" & "Aimed Bolt" > "Crescive Bolt" & "Gale Storm" and there's nothing more you really need.

You can trim the fat in some areas for more Hidden Detection skills or SP from Trap Research I guess, but don't worry too much about it:

If you are going with a "Hawk Rush" build using the suggested BIS armor, you will need to change your Hunter/Sniper skill tree as follows:

Thank you! I'm a new player (been playing on the recently released LATAM server) and was completely lost when it comes to builds so this helps a ton. I have a couple of questions still if that's okay:

When it comes to the gear, is it something that I should worry about once I've already reached max level? Or should I stop along the way to get some of the more important pieces?

And if going FAS build with no budget, after I rush the 120 DEX, should I get 126 LUK right after or get it later?

Hey, glad my guide helped! I can't speak for LATAM since they are on different patches/have different gear options from what I understand... so take this guide with a grain of salt as the market will be completely different there.

Gear is absolutely a top priority for being able to level effectively, so you should pick up things along the way to be able to level quickly and effectively (based on your budget). If LATAM has the Main Episode Quest Gear (see FAS portion of my guide), that will be the easiest place to get some decent gear for zero cost.

For FAS stats, I recommend 90 DEX/90 LUK/60 VIT by 99 Sniper and that 90 LUK should carry you until you get the gear that needs more LUK. So yes, your plan is correct until you get items like PDM.

Hey there. First i would like to thank you for the guide. Helped me to get to lv 191 so far and doing some decent FAS dmg.
Right now im hope i get a mvp drop to be able to afford the more expensive gear haha

So as Wind Hawk, it would be "better" to stay as FAS and just go Crescive Bolt as MVP Skill?

As the Gale Storm Skill got more Downsides somehow. Is the Gear Build you posted up there as possible Hybrid Build viable?
Im still kinda new and dont know all the Gears so im kinda lazy to search for every item if they got FAS and CB DMG increase.

And as Ranger i still got Skill Ups left. But either you dont got a possible Skill Tree up there or im blind but could you tell me what skills i should do for the last skill points?
Got 10 Skill points left as im job 68 right now and got 8 skill points atm.

Happy to hear it! FAS is a very viable skill to 200 and beyond with some pretty affordable gear.

"Better" is hard to define as it depends a lot on your budget. CB should not be used to level, so sticking with FAS is fine and I know I have helped people be able to hit 20-30m for around 1.5b zeny. However, GS got a massive boost from the skill rebalance recently which makes it much more friendly to level with... but the 1.2sec cooldown can feel rough if you're used to spamming your skills. Since "Calamity Gale" makes GS crit and can be upkept 100% of the time (as long as you can gain 200AP in 180sec), it is possible to use GS and then spam FAS as cleanup during that cooldown period using the same gears you use already.

No need to do much searching if you're lazy, my guide lists them all out for you :heh:

It's been several days since you posted but if you still need skill recommendations, I just added my Skill Tree in the 2nd post for people to use as a guideline. Enjoy!

Finally updated the builds after the recent Skill Rebalance Patch, and added a few of the noteworthy Kachua/OCP gear updates:

  • Major update to Crescive Bolt section.
  • Major update to Gale Storm section.
  • Added relevant gear from July's Kachua and OCP to all sections.

I'm a level 134 FAS Ranger and I'm having a hard time reaching instant cast to avoid getting interrupted by Petals and other mobs in Bifrost tower.

My character also feels hella squishy compared to when I leveled as Hunter, mostly due to the lack of FLEE or other sources of mitigation.

I have 120 DEX (for temporal dex boots), 90 LUK, 50 AGI, 50 INT, 25 VIT.

I noticed ACD is easy to come by, I can reach 50 to 60% but I don't want to invest heavily into it because I'm confused why would I care about that if my FAS still doesn't have instant cast and my ASPD is low (can barely reach 170 ASPD)

I've seen videos and guides where their additional DEX is hella stacked, but I don't know where the extra DEX for instant cast comes from and if that's what I should be aiming for before stacking 70 ACD. I suppose I should care about instant cast with food during endgame but not while leveling? Anyways, I still get interrupted even with 160 total DEX the 50 INT and -0.5 FCT from temporal dex boots and getting interrupted with this build and my squishyness means death and kinda awkward for my leveling taste, mostly due to being forced to cast and fly wing and not being able to loot some items for quests.

I'd really appreciate if you would please help me understand what should be the priority of my build while leveling.
Should I focus on stacking more DEX gear/cards for instant cast? or focus on stacking ACD first regardless of cast time?
ASPD doesn't feel important right now since I can't even instant cast FAS.

Hello Jefuu,

Nice endgame build guide. I was wondering, what should be the focus while leveling with FAS?
I understand 120 DEX, 90 LUK, and 60 VIT are enough to start with. However, I wonder how builds reach the massive amount of additional DEX to reach instant cast. Is it something that I should bother with or try to reach while leveling up? The list of consumables used aren't shown in the guide so I was wondering how you can reach +524 non-base DEX

Thanks a lot!

Hello Jefuu,

Thanks a lot!

Yo! To start, the +524 DEX comes from the 5% proc chance from both Abyss-LT & Dragon Shoes (gives +150 DEX) and Baphomet/Stormy Knight MVP Card & Royal Prontera/Payon Cape (gives +250 DEX). Both of those combos are not easily achievable goals, nor are they needed for a FAS build... but are certainly nice. With no buffs/consumables, my DEX bonus is only +54 lol.

ACD is negligible and can covered later, so your first goals for smooth FASing is FCT + VCT, and it sounds like FCT is covered. You're on the right track with DEX/INT needing to hit 530 for a natural spammable cast, but instead take a look at the Accessory Section for FAS and focus on getting a Document Archer. Not only is the BIS accessory with OldCamoBunnyHood for damage, it also gives you 100% VCT reduction! That with your Temp DEX Boots will prevent you from ever being interrupted. They typically run 100-130m, or 50 Kachua Mileage Coupons, currently. Lots of the good consumables are Cash Shop but stuff like Oda's Elixir or the +20 Stat Foods can be purchased from vendors as a start. But rather than spend on those, save up for DocArcher instead.

If you can get one, your next stat progression might look like: 126 LUK (for Galensis Card and Perverse Demon Mask) > 90 VIT > 90 INT (if SP is an issue) or 90 AGI > then 90 AGI or INT > rest as needed, probably in DEX or STR.

Hope that helps!

August update:

  • Finally added the Hawk Rush build to the guide.

  • Decided to "retire" Arrow Storm and Aimed Bolt, builds (meaning no more updates to those builds after mid-August 2025 unless something major happens).

  • Added the new/missing and noteworthy Kachua/OCP gear to all builds.

Hi there. Thank you for making this guide. It's made really well and it has been helpful to me.  :D

I have a question about the Focused Arrow Strike Build.

Is there a reason why Awakened Royal Bow-LT is not included as a recommended gear?

Apologies on the long delay in response (the forums have been atrocious to use this past month).

Royal Bow-LT wasn't included because it doesn't really provide much benefit to FAS for the cost to reform and grade it. +35% FAS modifier and +15% Crit modifier, with a little POW/P.ATK, is very little for the upgrade costs. I'd recommend going with the reformed Thanatos set instead if you were going to spend that money, you know?

It also has more benefits for Arrow Storm so maybe if you were going hybrid FAS/AS it could see some use... but at 190, you should not be using AS without the better CD bows anyway haha.

For starter, yes.. its a good set with that FAS dmg boost. Sniper stone middle is cheap now you should get it for the -0.5 fct

As Edward confirmed, it's a solid starting set as long as you have the -0.5s FCT for sure. The free-2-play Main Quest gears, starting at Royal Banquet, are pretty solid for FAS too (and you get the FCT reduction from the shoes) if you want to check those out as well.

After investing heavily in the Royal Payon Cape card combo

(Merman, Dramoh, Stormy)

I see Juncea Follower Wing, has destroyed the competition?

w/ enchants also.

I feel robbed lol

Royal Payon Cape deserves enchants (just like Little Garden got, after Smiling Eyes was released)

Juncea & Kiel Successor Doll must give you a headache for changing these build BIS?

Yeah, Juncea Wing and the Follower Masks really shook things up so I need to update my guides to reflect the new stuff  :ani_swt3:

It's great we're getting new gear all the time, but definitely makes maintaining these difficult so will probably limit it to every few months to not drive myself crazy haha!
