Hey everyone!   

 

 

I'm feeling pretty uncertain right now, haha...

 

I started playing on the official LATAM server of RO not too long ago. It’s managed by a Brazilian team (they usually have a pretty bad reputation — things tend to start off well, but then everything goes downhill with cheaters, data leaks, and a P2W system so heavy it feels straight out of MU and Webzen).

 

At first, I was really excited to play Ragnarok in both Spanish and English and connect with this new community… but after just a few days, the usual “small issues” started showing up.

 

Now I’m genuinely worried I’ll end up losing my account, progress, money, and all the effort I’ve put in.

Even though WarpPortal has had its ups and downs, every time I’ve gone back, my main account has still been there, untouched — no matter how many years passed.

 

I’m just looking for a bit of guidance or insight here. I feel like if the LATAM server gets shut down, we’ll all lose our progress — especially with the way iRO handles things and remembering what happened with ROT.

No i don't think it gets shut down. P2W? Obviously that's the harsh truth, they need money to make the server alive. Don't blame yourself, blame to those who purchased money to gamble gachas over there lol. You should know that it is official server managed by company, they have a protocol.. and i believe they have only 1 server running right? They won't shut it down obviously. If it's PS, of course i would have just shut it down if i am the owner.

 

ROT is just different 'RO zero concept' of which Warpportal was just testing it and they see that renewal server will be the one that keeps running as they will always get updates from kRO, so they decided to shut ROT down. Talking about updates, now i always wonder why don't they shut down RO2?

 

People always thought that iRO Chaos is dead as the server is under poor management, staffs unable to handle thousands of player's requests and bots swarming in Amicitia / Niflheim dung / CTB. Yet, the server still standing thus we still have Thor and Freya too.

Both have their cons and pros, however if you are not from south america, i don't suggest you to play Latam-RO(bRO) at all.

LatamRO will also have OCP and Kachua, if they already nerfed the drops in old glast heim and make neuralizer untradeable i don't want to imagine later.
