make cash shop event item effect last maybe 1 more month after the end of the sale period

 

or maybe just make it like 30 or 60 days from the date of purchase - for example I bought Toothless Costume Package I on 31.07, then event item effect will last until 30.08 or 31.09 - expiration runs from the date of purchase of the item itself, not from the time the item was "redeemed"/opened

 

but probably making universal expiration like after 1 month would be easier to implement

 

 

so that those who bought the item few days before the end of sale period would still be able to enjoy the effects of it

 

it can be limited only to those event items that are purchased with KP. quest-able items can maybe remain as it is

 

 

well anyway, just a thought

That's hard to do because people would stockpile these things and sell at a later date for massive profits. Like EXP+50% from just the wing+footstep combo, they'll save it until the next huge EXP bonus month like December and the exp gear that comes with the event. Rather than using it for that timeline of when it released as intended.

not necessarily.. because if they implement a universal expiration, it will still be removed 1 month after the end of sale period

and if they implement an expiration 30days after purchase, it will still be max 1 month after end of sale

 

so using the last event how to train your dragon,

option 1: all event effects will be effectively already removed by 05.09 (1 month after end of sale)

option 2: if you bought the egg on 31.07 and redeemed the costume item, effecT will disappear already by 31.08

               if you bought the egg on 31.07 and redeemed the costume item on 27.08, effecT will still disappear by 31.08

               if you bought the egg on 31.07 and redeemed the costume item on 15.09, it will be just a costume witHout event effects

 

option 2 timer will start on the day of purchase.. not necessarily on the day of exchanging the item

 

anyway, i'm free to dream lol

This way is the most profitable method they are getting any dime from possible players.

 

WP is not going to change this.

eh? they could even potentially siphon more money from those lootboxes if they choose to implement the 2nd..

assuming lootbox will be on sale for 30days, then whales could buy it on day 1, and then it expires at day30, then they buy 1 more on day30 to have the same event effect for another 30 days.
