The bot problem has never been solved. We all know they use this so-called "quality of life" to farm Ether Dust mainly. And now the staff decided it's a good idea to use Ether Dust to reset memorial dungeons.

Now? it's been like that for a while, at least before they kinda tried to ban them, now they don't do it due to fear of DOS attacks, that and GM's favoritism(ahem phoenix).

 

At least, they didn't think of anything to benefit botters further. Their failure to ban bots can be because they are less competent than bot developers <snip>. But this dungeon reset event clearly benefit botters. They don't solve it and just make it more severe.

They are not only turning a blind eye on bots, they are encouraging scammers to engage in scams by refusing reverting trades for legit players who have been scammed.

Considering the bots are wearing ocp gears and are in basically every dungeon should tell you everything about how they really feel about bots... honestly I don't know what the hell the gm team is even doing anymore... seems like it's eternally everyone's first day on the job....

Just put back ether dust on spending reward to crush the bot-economy. The one who is starting thrilled here just afraid of the bot-making revenue.
Come on, RO has been launched over a decades, F2P or P2W players would find their place in RO.
I don't know why the shameless economist can speak so loud while he is still leeching money in RO. He probably forget who are the Papas here.
Please remember no players buy your bots, you are a nobody like what you said.
I don't see any players quit the RO coz of Zeny getting high or dropping low but I see there's a lot players complained that bots are too much and even they cannot leveling, just destroy the basic playing experience.
RO is not an investment product, it' just a game. But the smart economist just know how to code and leech money, he even doesn't play at all.

Barely do they know regular people make in a day what they're making in a month selling those for like what? 20 people?

The coping mechanism is so funny, talking about as if the server couldn't go on without bots... So pathetic. If anything the bots will kill the server, and then I wanna see who they're gonna sell ether dust/RMT to.

Not sure what to make out of this but if u cant even afford 50 Ether Dust to reset memorial dungeons then how can u afford to grade your gears?

You clearly do not understand my point, or you just another botter. Simple as that.

 

 

Ether Dust does not give the company any profit. It is a loot in the game. If botters farm Ether Dust, they can increase its drop rate so normal players can earn tons of it. This also benefits them since most players will have Ether Dust to grade their bi-weekl ocp/kachua gears. And if the botters turn to farm zeny from junk instead, I don't mind making junk valueless like what GGT did.

A lot of people have quit too because their main account has been completely wiped. Maybe you do not know what you are saying IRO is supporting bot. I know it is frustrating but GM are doing their job and it is still illegal to bot.

 

You can try it yourself if IRO is really allowing bot. Use your main account then if that is what you think.

You know we have something called "privilege". If they don't encourage botting, why do something that benefit botters though?

I've been meaning to post this. Ended up being quite long. Sorry for the Wall of Text.

With the Summer Event on, the first "Kill 100 Lvl 150 monster of X Type" landed on fish. So, doing a quick search, the most logical answer to me was Illusion of Byalan, since the Deviace there is 150 and the rest of the mob there dies with one shot.

 

I head over there to get my 100 monster and, what do I see? An absolute clown show. People with a level waaay over the intended level turbo speed walking killing everything in sight (which is amusing just to think of their gear tbh) but then I noticed: the reaction times of these guys between appearing on the map, seeing a mob, selecting their skill and pointing at it are insane... some less than 0.1 seconds easily. Bother, if you tell me there are more than 5 players with these reaction times playing Ragnarok Online and not beating the top Fighting Game players at EVO, they're doing it wrong.

 

And the map is full of them! Which gets me to legitimately ask someone in the Mod Team:

Are you legitimately, 100% sure not aware of the activity in this map? Can you 100% say "Yeah I've checked and they're all legitimate players in front of their computer, and they're all just GOATed"

 

Even funnier (or clownier depending on how you look at it) some of these cracked players with 0.1s reaction times also have the big, bold MASTER sign on top of them. So, this leads me to believe every single MASTER tag is just another botter. And also that botting is 100% okay in this server... which. Shall it just be spelled out?

I don't think that WP is supporting bots, but it definitely feels like the company is indolent in solving the problem. Aside from higher-level maps like Biosphere or Clock Tower Basement, there were much fewer bots in most other maps last year, in my experience, but ever since the start of this year, the increase of bots in the server has ramped up exponentially. It's incredibly frustrating to level my characters in places like Magic Plains or even lower-level maps like Illusion Underwater now, because they are festering with max-level Biolo or EM bots spamming Cart Cannon or Psychic Wave, basically leaving no enemies for legitimate players.

 

Did the bot developers find a new exploit in EAC or the game client that WP/Gravity is now struggling to patch, or do they actually know how to fix problem and are just too lazy to do so?

This has been called for years now, and there are a lot of different responses to if it is legal or not and whatever, people will say that is macros and its allowed as long as you are active when the gm sends you a message in private chat, but with today technology you can automate that too.

 

Aside from the everlasting farming machines, there are the old/busy people who have like 1 hour to play per day and/or dont want to develope carpal tunnel or stuff like that, and most of them bow to "the milking man" or the guy that develope/make avalible the holy grial of playing the game with only one button. They behave pretty much like the bots, but sometimes they sit and chat. Dont call them out for ks tho, most of them dont care and will tell you that you need to get good.

I call this person "the milking man" because of the mods swift response when you say the name of this unknown individual

i dont know or care who is responsible for who is creating the bots, keep your drama to obamas mamas llama, isnt there anybody in the office who can pop into pretty much ANY dungeon at this point and see people who can some how teleport in, target multiple monsters and kill them, and teleport out in less time than you can even realize someone is there... do they even ban ANYONE anymore? are there actual GMs left? i cant believe this game is still going in the state it is... this used to be a game people could take kinda "seriously", now its little more than a fancy chat room with microtransactions....

Guess if they remove bots... Players count will drop from 2000 in an average to 200 real active players. ^^'

They need a Social GM to answer and be more active on Forums. We neeed answers and solutions. I know many players that have left the game for this reason. Many bots!
