I mean granted in the GX job change i had to wait a total of 4 hours to finish, but it made sense in the long run. The first hour wait was to meet up and take somone by supprise and get info from them (only done if you cloak which made me feel sneaky lol). The 3 hour wait was after you got the info from the first hour wait. She told you that in 3 hours she was meeting the guy you were looking for. You took the spot of the informant and then assassinated the person when the three hours were up. Stuff like that is annying, but it makes sense and it builds suspense.

So Heim if you are reading this, then see what you can do because it seems like everyone would like something like this in game.

This could definately help RO become better, if and only if, Quests become worth it, they are more interesting, and maybe add some party elements to it (kiel is a good example).

It would be mainly for all the "big storyline" or access quests.

The quest journal only works for quests you have completed after the quest journal was introduced. So for instance the Sign quest for many people wouldn't show up at all.

Well...when I go questing I go to kafra shop and buy coloured bwings :P

Definitely need more quests like this. I really enjoyed taking down Kiehl the for the first time with some old guildmates. Though I think they should start making more quests Party oriented. Even simple things like needing multiple characters to stand on switches or requiring a rogue or assassin to cloak/stalk into a certain room to deactivate an alarm or something. A lot of interesting elements could be added when taking Party play into consideration.

Honestly, I can't believe I never thought of this before. Though, as a Sura I always just /memo'd the important towns when questing and then fixed my memo's afterward. :(

Man that would make questing ten times more fun. I would love to play stealth parts of quests on my GX. Then AB's can heal certain npc's or somthing or exorcise somthing. Even a knight could do somthing like protect an NPC.

YES. All very valid and interesting ideas. It should be fairly easy to come up with class-specific tasks. Seeing your character class influence in-game events would help people feel more useful as their class, and recognize the variety the game has to offer.

Beyond that should be tasks developed for groups as well. An elevator activated by combined weights of party members, or piecing together a map from parts only found in class-specific rooms. Requiring more interaction with other players would help to show the benefits of doing so more often outside of quests.

I think encouraging players to work together should be a main focus of an MMO (Now if only they would fix the party experience situation. :P )

Ok im bringing this thread back to life. Now one question i have for you guys...What did you feel was missing after you finished this quest. I got a lacking feeling myself...like there was more to the story and i wanted to find out what. Also why did you have a cold? i never understood that.

What about you guys? Same thing? or somthing different.

i would like quests to not have TIME WASTERS. an example would be going from town to town, sometimes via airships. just have the npc warp you to the appropriate town. iro no longer earns money from wasting peoples time, so stop it.

Well some of them need the different towns to create an atmosphere for the story but i understand where you are coming from. So using the crow of destiny quest as an example...would you say it would be too much time waster? What if it only had 2 areas? Like maybe just Juno to Einbroch?

the crow quest looks fine since pront and juno makes sense because of the library.

but time wasting should be removed not just for story type quest, but for everything. some job changes involves a lot of wasted time. it made sense before, when iro makes money if they keep players ingame. now its just annoying.
