First off, i firmly believe that most max level players KS freely, and simply do not fear anything in the form of punishment, so it is not a deterent. I also believe that this behavior gives the impression that its OK to do it regardless of where or who you KS. And in my view, this is bad for the game as a whole.
More often than not, someone is leveling, they have a random player come in and KS them, it happens 4-5 more times, and then they say, "well if they do it, im going to do it" and then that just produced another rude person in this community.
I get it, gamers in general are very selfish players. But i also feel like this community used to be one where Botting/KSing/Rude behavior were frowned upon. I go through the 200+ level dungeons and people simply dont care about you, they kill your mobs, they train you with mobs, I try to message them to stop, and i'm told to F-Off. And at the end of the day, it is very sad. I originally started playing back in Pre-comodo patch days and this stuff was taken seriously. I guess the game devs dont care so long as they keep getting a paycheck.
Now this community is a conglomeration of rude, inconsiderate players and funny enough the GMs know about the IRO Black Market discord and RMT, and no one cares. As long as people keep paying for Kafra Points, they will keep on allowing all of this occur, and will "turn a blind eye" Does the GM team need to do more to foster a more wholesome community? Yes, IMO. will they? I doubt it, because i dont even see GMs anymore, i only ever see CM... and they dont have power to do anything
it is very very sad. so go ahead and flame me, as i expect most of you to do. I just wanted to share this as it is a sad sad state of a game that holds a very special place in my heart
