Hello!

I’ve been part of this community since the Iris (PH) days—roughly 22 years now. Like many of you, I’ve stayed through every migration and update because this game isn't just a hobby; it’s an investment of time and memory. My spouse and I play together, building endgame gear as our way of enjoying the current content.

However, I’m writing this because I’m deeply concerned about the current state of server-client synchronicity, specifically during the window of instability we saw around March 30th and the recent hardware maintenance.

Recently, I experienced a catastrophic loss during a high-tier refinement attempt. On my screen, the UI confirmed all protection materials were active. I clicked. The server lagged. The result? A broken item that, according to the logs, didn't have protection.

This isn't about the RNG of the game. It’s about the discrepancy between what we see on our screens as VIP players and what the server actually processes during periods of high packet loss. When you’ve invested decades into a game, there’s an expectation of a "safety net" when the infrastructure itself wavers.

I’m curious if any other long-time players have noticed a delay in UI updates during refinement since the recent EOS changes? It feels like we are reaching a point where even when a player does everything right, the technical instability can override our precautions.

I’ve always believed in supporting the service (VIP/Points), but it becomes difficult to justify that investment when the response to technical discrepancies is a rigid "user error" stance, regardless of the player's history or the documented server lag at the time.

Has anyone else had luck getting a second look at a technical issue when the initial logs didn't tell the whole story? I’m hoping to find some perspective on how we, as a community, can ensure our gear is actually safe when the servers are under stress.

Thank you!

I don't know if this would be a simple solution or a coding nightmare, but have a chatbox appear to confirm when Blacksmith Blessing is not selected to upgrade when equipment can break. Just a simple "Equipment has a chance to be destroyed do you wish to process Yes/No"
