We really should be given more liberty to change things, I mean grf editing is one of the easiest things to do. We can already edit skins (and with that, loading screens) so why not frost jokes as well?

I don't usually use RCX (rarely have a need to), so i just blank out manner.txt to stop the lag from zeny spammers...

If it was something allowed to be modified it would be placed in the skin folder.

Any chance they can make them be a text file instead? Most of the Frost Joke text consists of puns that don't translate into English at all, and some of it LITERALLY doesn't translate - as in, you spam gibberish and squares over your head because you're trying to speak Korean in an English font.

I'd love to be able to just load up a custom list instead.

In valky I have seen custom frost jokes not so uncommonly, many being from spanish guilds... I don't see any harm in editing the grf file for minor changes like not offenssive frost jokes or removing unused chat filters...

Actually, if the chat filter was made of an editable part and a non editable part (non editable for serious offenses, editable for zeny spam)... we wouldn't lag in pront or have to use third party blocking tools...

But honestly, I dont think its as bad as explaining how someone bugged a WoE2 castle to not break.

I think you should tell us how you modified it. What's the best utility, which string it is, maybe post a few links...

Forget the ba_frostjoke.txt file in data.grf, have you guys seen thsoe weird ASCII coded messages? Where the hell do they come from. (The file is not modified btw)

Its the same as not making it official that RCX is allowed, just because it can be modifed for personal gains, and, viruses.
