Materials/consumables aren't stacking if you don't go to the specific storage page where the item is, when transferring stackable items from inventory to storage.

For example,

You have 549 wooden arrows in Storage3, and 10 in Inventory that you want to place into your storage.
When you open storage, obviously you will drag the arrows into Storage1 and let the items automatically stack to the original pile for you; however this does not happen.

If you have empty space in Storage1, the 10 wooden arrows will be transferred into storage as a separate pile in page 1, and not stack onto the original pile of 549 in Storage 3, as it would before the new patch. If there is no empty space in Storage1, the wooden arrows will not enter storage at all.

So you're forced to find the Storage page which the item is on before you place stackable items in your storage..

Could it also be an idea regarding the stacking of items that we can split up stacks? Like say CTRL+click, then choose amount (for example)

I think it's an awesome feature that you can put the item on any tab you want. Even better would be to be able to drag it to any slot you want though.
Even so I do agree it would be easy to have that done with the stacks thing ^^. I guess this is a perfect middle way to do it per tab.

There is an easier way. Just select the last page and then move items into your storage. If a stack-able item is already present in any of the previous pages, it will stack.
