Elysium

Elysium has been in existence longer than any guild on Valdes server. Founded at the start of Open Beta testing, the guild formed from the collective desire of a number of experienced players from Closed Beta to remain playing together and to continue to be the first to kill every boss mob in existence. The name was conceived by Gekkido, the best damn tank in Closed Beta on Valdes. Together with my shaman, Bartukus, and lots of other friends we raced to kill every boss mob in existence. On Day One of Open Beta we began to fill our ranks with skilled players who enjoyed playing together and raiding together. By the end of day Three of Open Beta, Elysium was the first to clear every single boss in Secret Lab, with an average level in party well under intended level for that instance. Sadly my closed Beta friend Gek stopped playing a few weeks into Open Beta, but he left a kickass guild emblem and a tradition of excellence behind as a legacy.

Drawn together by an enjoyment of the world of Ethergia and sharing pragmatic optimism about the hopes of the game, the guild strives to attract talented players of all classes, regardless of what time zone they live in. Known for players with a detailed knowledge of game mechanics and class progression, the guild welcomes all players who have a desire to be excellent in PvP and are willing to put the effort into their toons to make that happen. We want active players, players who log daily and play for several hours each day most days of the week. We look to grow our numbers with similar minded people who believe that consistent rolling rules on raids, respect for yourself and for fellow players, and a desire to skill and gear the strongest toon that you possibly can are tenets that will serve you well.

We welcome alts, within reason, because we realize that alts allow for continued fun in game and continued activity beyond the point where a single player character may become montonous from time to time. We do however encourage you to focus on one primary character as we recognize that level and time put in ingame are ultimately the most important determinants of player strength.

If you don't have an interest in going into battlegrounds and killing other players, then this is not the place for you. We are a War Guild, and we war as the urge hits and when we find other guilds willing to war us. We have Guild War Reward Bonuses applied constantly for the benefit of our players and we help each other to learn about our own respective classes so that, both collectively and individually, we increase our ability to neutralize other classes on the battlefield and turn the tide of battle. Most of our members raid daily and all share a commitment to hard work, fun, and a propensity for toon-on-toon violence.
