Drop Time delay

I was just down in the Thief guild hunting Amon Ra, there were about 4 people there, all from different Guilds. Once the MvP Spawned we all attacked it. I did the Most Damage and was Awarded MvP. I went to Pick up my loot and the next thing I know this one Guy
TweekMeFokkeR (NgopalynFoster'sParty)
Awesome Ones [Awesomeness]
Picked up my loot, faster than I could move and Logged off... The other 3 people there were all like wtf??? How is that even possible? We all thought there should be a cool down so that I have a chance to pick up the loot first. Am I wrong? Is there or is there not a cool down? How was he able to steal the loot?
And here is the chat box Closer...
So like I said, Is this type of loot stealing allowed?
I would hate if that had been a card that dropped...
Peace D...

I'm more interested in this bit though.
If you had teleported or relogged during Amon Ra for any reason, I recommend you do not do it again, because you won't get any exp or loot priority.
(Also of note, if he hits first, you have to do double his total damage in order to get loot priority.)

The loot's FFA D, so... Tough luck. It doesn't matter who gets MVP. If you pick it up it is yours.

Loot is not FFA, loot priority went to him. Most likely he hit it first, and thus had loot priority. Drop priority goes to the person who did the most damage, with damage dealt by the first person to hit the MVP being counted double - so if you don't get first hit, you need to do twice as much damage to get loot priority. MVP award, on the other hand, goes to whoever dealt or received the most damage. That's the point of the MVP award (or one of them), imo - to make sure the MVPer gets something, even if they don't have drop priority
He got no EXP because he was 99/70 and probably capped for EXP. Why he doesn't jobchange so he can put that MVP experience towards leveling as genetic is unclear to me. The genetic quest is truly trivial!
Teleport/relog does not break drop priority, as long as they are on the map and logged in at the time the mvp dies. We've been on both sides of this (a relogged member of our or opposing team getting drop priority)

Loot is not FFA, loot priority
I think you misunderstood what I meant though. The loot itself IS FFA like the MVP, provided you are able to pick it up. If the loot on the ground has priority to him over you, you can still pick it up if he's unable to.
And swapping maps while fisting MVPs and Inning has changed the drop priority, since I have gotten no exp for what damage I did and people were able to pick things up instantly. Even though I got MVP, this has always happened if I hadn't hit it again. But then I forget that it probably says 0, 0 and 0 because he's 99/70

Oh,
I have not changed him, because he is my pure Potion Maker and I was just MvPing Amon with him because he is a fairly easy kill with a few Bombs...
