Well I wasn't really leaning towards any way specifically. I was just wondering why the order would matter, thats all.

Personally, I don't see why it would, either. The rankings don't affect anything, anyways.

Meh, imo if it's worth having in the game it's worth having it function correctly.

He probably bought loads of EXP pots - a half hour should be enough for 1 to 60 with that method.

The purpose of ranking is fun and bragging rights (did something first, got the highest score, etc). It's kinda arbitrary and pointless, but then again the same opinionated statement could be made about most aspects of the game. Some people might not see ranking as pointless. Before you generalize, isn't attempting to win in pvp for fun and bragging rights as well? If you look at the combo rankings and the top score for phoenix feather usage, it looks like people were definitely trying to get those scores. It's the same idea with people racing to be first capped player on the server/job change first or whatever (I remember a few megas from the people who got 4th job first). In order to make the claim that "rankings don't affect anything" you need to define "anything", or at least tell us the aspects of the game that you care about so that people can have a clear understanding of what you mean.

Personally my inventories are all maxed out, but I think you're missing the point here. If two people are tied in the amount of points they have, the person who achieved that amount of points most recently gets placed at the top (this is based off of observations of achievement points). I doubt your extra percent matters because it doesn't give you any extra points. We can see if Funky get's placed at number 1 when he obtains 100% in order to test this. If he does, we have a problem, and the ranking system needs to be examined and possibly changed.

Current Order:

xandiel
megan
andywu
sharpion
afro
funky

Do you feel that if someone achieved the maximum amount of points possible, and if someone else later comes along and achieves max amount of points, the second person to hit max points should be placed above the first in ranking? With a system like that it means that there are really no ranks. There is only a list of people who tied the high score recently.

the most obvious is that there are 5 people who have reached the exp "cap" and SHARE the ranking of 1st place.

what you fail to notice is that these people are ranked in ALPHABETICAL order based on guild name, which is then followed by placement in order of the time they reached the exp "cap" (ie: sharpion reaching the cap before afroshika and appearing before him and myself before meganekko, so on and so forth). therefore when funky reaches the exp "cap" he should be placed before AndyWu, but does it really matter considering we all SHARE the ranking of 1st place?

Funky is at the top now. Andy is now between you and Megan, so the alpahbetical based on guild name theory is wrong. It switched Megan and Andy when Funky went to the top, which seems a bit odd. No, it doesn't really matter, but at this point I would like to know how it works.

From what I've seen, the order is determined by the character's class.

EDIT: And the class order is the "Choose Job" list in the Rankings tab.

Looks like alphabetical by class now, but that doesn't make sense because Meganekko was above AndyWu previously.
