for pve/tanking reasons go doom guard and do my tanking thing...the jewels id use would be M-C for con and either a 1h sword or bludgeon...then for PVP/soloing i was thinking of having a magic dmg jewel set and use a wand...for armor anything that gave more health of course...any ideas thoughts or QQs about this possible build

ok i know nothing about druids but i 2 things.

1) you didnt take hp buff, wtf?

2) magic wannabe elem druids are not highly thought of, especially by other druids

u are def heavy.

well over cap def. need taking into account that in raids u will have radie buff as well.

Save skill points by getting rid of some def.
mb put into inferno and advance.

or better yet wait till the offical tables are up.

best luck getting to 79 as druid to use these builds.

One of druids i log is full trans with DG. lot more fun to tank on than prot but Cry is so weak and long CD.

Also sword only use if u can have cap def in DG forum minus Robbing Willness - in other words you dont plan to change to BM buff with hammer RW then back to DG.

oh forget heal skill it crap.

MB think about getting RT as well higher. one of the better damage skills and if u tank may be handy.

I would almost say drop robbing but im not sure where your defense would stand. Still not sure how useful max RT and DNA is but is something full dg should try out i suppose. Drop DG stun and heal. Do as ray told you for inferno, magic damage druid is stupid. If u really want to pvp you will take invisible arrow and put it and fcs at higher level. Drop mys Storm drop DG def buff. Put raging at 1 and RT at least 1. But we have to wait to see how doomguard teleport skill will be.

for pvp use physical jewelry with skill crit and pve the same but with physical crit.

I took a Druid tank into JS last night, it's easy just like any normal tank, think the most problem was they only had 3.3k def and that I couldnt spam my heals on them the entire time, but ya it was pretty easy no aggro lose except for Stuns

This druid tank had 9k hp tho ;]

Ye HP is pretty much the biggest problem for a DoomGuard.

I enjoy tanking with my druid. Right now I can take the blue and red bosses in DS but haven't tried anything above that yet, although I don't have my tank set finished yet. I'm thinking if similar gear for tanking as the OP, M-C jewels, bludgeon, and whatever armor will give me the most health.

This is what I was figuring my 79 build would look like (if I ever make it there).

Yea the normal effect which is crap. Blocking like 23% of time which is ~1/4 and stopping like 8x damage? if you have TB shield or if you have a good pve shield maybe more/less. RHs at +10 a guy showed me were like 7xx hp.

That 7xx also gets boosted of course through any modifiers you have such as guild and/or pet
