On the iRO wiki, it said that for alchemist battle builds, it said that it was important to have your STR be a multiple of 10, could someone tell me why this is important?
Why do alchemists need their STR as a multiple of 10?

The wiki is using an old guide. STR was put in multiples of 10 pre-renewal because at multiples of 10, you would get a significant increase in damage.
Ex. lets say you have 79 str and you do 200 damage. If you put 1 more str to make it 80, you would do 300 damage.
In Renewal this bonus is gone and so 79str would be 200 damage and putting 1 more str to 80 would make it just 201 damage.
Str is inredibly nerfed but it is still necessary for melee classes, such as a battle alchemist, but it is now put in less heavily since people would prefer more durability now since that bonus to str is gone.
